Yeah I feel they will be back again and they could easily sell out the academy in Brum again.

That was incredible. I got front row for that! I couldn't believe it was even happening. To be in that close a proximity, in such an intimate venue, for BRAND NEW. Unreal. I got a setlist too! And to top it all off, it was my birthday present.

I don't know if I'd rather they play at the O2 Institute now! I haven't been to the Brum academy in forever. Never been a huge fan of it. It was always a pain to get to for me, and the Institute is a much nicer venue I think!

For all folks in UK. Was anyone at the show at Alexandra's Palace in Sep of 2015. I was there when I was studying abroad. So cool.

I had to miss that, but my friend went and she said they played Limousine and Sealed To Me and I'm not crying you're crying

I agree I prefer the Institute as a venue just makes sense for them to play the bigger of the two if they're going to do it was my thinking. They could easily dismiss both and play the Wolves Civic I guess as that's bigger still.

I would have been but I was away on holiday so I was happy they announced an extra date in Sheffield and I went to that where they randomly did Deja in full then an encore of I think 5 TDAG songs. Incredible night.

Think the institute is my favourite Midlands venue, not a fan of the civic or academy! Used to love the little civic too.

Also really wondering if there is some pre-sale code for Brooklyn show (tomorrow) or if I just wait until Friday? I am googling but coming up with nothing.

You could give them a call? Otherwise, I know brandnewrockfan on twitter is trying to collect all the presale codes

Here's something to think about. Just on preorders alone yesterday, if there were 5000 pre orders sold, the band made around $225,000 dollars US. That's not even mentioning the ticket pre orders.

Imagine if they were doing a full tour, if people did like I did and bought the album pre-order, and two tickets to the show at what I paid, they'd have made a million dollars in minutes.

I was at both. Sheffield is probably my favourite Brand New show I've been to. One of those had to be there nights.

What contributed to it being such a night for you? Love hearing people's favourite gig stories.

Very true. I've already given them £200 in the past 24 hours!

That's just what they took in though. That doesn't count what they had to spend to make the record (recording, pressing, packaging, etc.)

    It's definitely one of them!

I live in Scotland so Sheffield is a moderate car journey for us to get to. We got lost, we were late for the plan that was set and in total took like 5 hours to get to Sheffield which was far too much. All of my friends that I met through Brand New were there that night and the venue was cool for an academy. Not too big but still had a feel that you were close to the band.

I'll preface by saying that Deja is my favourite Brand New album (TDAG is on par/better some days but Deja is the one I can listen to casually and in any mood, I need time with TDAG). I had never seen 'Tautou', 'Guernica' or 'Good To Know...' in my many adventures of seeing brand new. This was the 11th.

From the moment they came on and started playing 'Tautou', I secretly hoped that this is going to be the time. Followed by 'Sic Transit' 'Spin Light' and my all time favourite 'Okay I Believe You'. You still think, "nah they'll play Vices or something now" but they didnt and continued on. 'Guernica' has a special place in my heart and it was the first time they'd ever played 'Good To Know...' in the UK. They seemed happy to be there, really into every song they played. It was a shorter set than some others I've seen them play but it was special.

They did play Deja in full again in Edinburgh a few days later so I've seen it twice but that first time. Magic.

Well there's a cost to press the records too, so they didn't MAKE 225K. However, to your point, it was definitely a big day for them!

I think my favourite time seeing them was at the Give It A Name festival in 07 in b'ham. They were headlining but Saosin (I think) had pulled out of the festival and Brand New played a secret set in their place on a small stage. I just remember being in the foyer and hearing the opening line to 70x7 and running to the stage haha

Anybody have any idea what the presale code might be tomorrow for the Chicago show?
