How has Brand New's track record been with the vinyl releases? Did everyone get their 12" of I Am A Nightmare on time?

 

I've ordered quit a bit of BN merch for years and personally never ran into a problem aside from the lyric sheet. Also I have the first pressing of TDAG, but later some other pressing came out with a sticker on it that people rightfully disliked. Overall though, I don't recall a time where I didn't get what I ordered when they said it would be shipped.

Mene is at least a top half BN song, probably even better than that.

IAAN isn't great for a one off deep into the long wait, but it's solid.

 

Do you know how opinions work?

I like mene. A lot.
I think IAAN is maybe my least favorite song of theirs since YFW

 

Mene is so good, hope the new album leans in that direction production wise

 

I've probably undersold Mene, I think it's okay but it's not really something that draws me back to listen. I legit think IAAN is a really bad song

 

I Am a Nightmare is one of my favorite BN songs. I was definitely surprised when I learned it wasn't that well received. I think it might have benefited from being part of an album rather than a standalone? I dunno

 

Nightmare is just a real solid alt rock song, but this band can do a lot better. Still enjoyed it

 

IAAN just feels half baked to me. The lyrics and production just aren't up to par. It's catchy enough that I like it, but it just seems super rushed to me (which is a very funny thing to say about a 2016 brand new song).

Different opinions are okay, my thing is why be negative just to be negative? Also there isn't even an album to have an option about yet haha

 

no one is just being negative lmao the user half jokingly posted a harmless comment. theres plenty of people who will gush about this band my guy. who cares

Why be positive just to be positive either though? I've seen this in other threads too, negative comments are held to a different standard and are often criticized for lack of substance, meanwhile the same thread will have lots of posts that just say "this is good" or "can't wait" ... I mean, just the idea that people care that I think this album might not be good is a bit asinine.

Being excited about a band you love is cool, saying it's great well I havnt seen that yet lol

 

god forbid someone jokes around in the brand new thread, yknow the band that literally fucks with its own fanbase

 

they just dont have any fans on the internet it seems

 

If you read their fb comments you may believe that, talking about negativity, real nasty stuff

 

Also, if I had a fraction of a penny each time I've wished someone in a Brand New thread would take a chill pill for just a second, I'd be a very rich man.

 

damn cant believe anyone would say anything bad about this band i for one wouldnt stand for that

 

I've been thinking on this more and I'm starting to feel like either the pre-order is gonna have some pretty elaborate packaging, or the album is gonna be at least a 2 LP. That price tag (and shipping cost) is the big indicator for me.
