I can't believe this god damn thread is already longer than some threads that have been here since day one just on principle alone I won't be listening to this new album

 

No? I guess I passed on the Limited Edition preorders today because I wanna know what this thing will sound like. That's how I digest music though, I usually listen to a single and preorder or add it on Apple Music and then decide if I love it enough to buy the record.

I was right there at 11:59am when they went live but just couldn't pull the trigger on spending money on something that isn't of value to me.

It was the shittiest shift at work, boss turned out to have embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars in fraudulent sales over the last umpteen years, everyone may lose their jobs because the bank won't fund the dealership trades anymore, marketing team imploded, and yet this grin has not left my face since pre-ordering a Brand New album for the first time ever.

Music is a funny thing.

I totally get the whole poking fun at the band thing but you can buy a press of any previous release on amazon right now so I feel comfortable saying it's a safe bet.

 

i think it would be sweet if we got the whole album before hearing any bit of it first

 

I don't want to keep everyone else in the dark but I do love the idea of opening up this package with no knowledge of artwork, a title or a tracklist. But I know myself better than to try; if a single gets released, I will listen immediately. I have no self-control when it comes to other bands, let alone Brand New.

 

That’d be the coolest thing they could do. I’m in for it. But that might not help sales numbers, IAAN was getting a lot of hype and radio play if I remember correctly.

Still crazy to think it's been eight years since the last brand new LP.

Hoping IAAN won't be on it.

 

The band has meant enough to me in the formative years of getting into music that I'm always gonna be excited to see what they do on the next record. Hope it appeals to me. If anything, I'm hype for the discussion that'll take place in relation to the music. Less posts about food on this site!

 

My "weirdly confrontational" response was as such because I don't appreciate the implication that I'm not allowed to say anything negative about this band. It was mostly a tongue in cheek comment regardless, but given how annoying and over the top people have been about the band for literally years, I think I'm more than entitled to make a slightly negative comment about them. It's actually kind of ridiculous for that post to get picked apart when there are plenty of equally substanceless posts in here.

 

I can't believe this is happening!! I'm sure there will be more vinyl, I'll buy it then. Couldn't justify buying it at 2 AM when I was unsure if I was actually awake, lol. I'm also a huge fan of their latter music and I'm pretty confident I'll enjoy it. Wow. LP5 is real
