When I told my husband I'd spent $65 dollars on ltd edition Brand New vinyl he was all 'Oh I thought you were going to say $250!"

Our sad reality is that $45 vinyl isn't even that uncommon for some major label releases, or remastered classic rock albums or even friggin Radiohead. Foo Fighters Wasting Light was $35 a few years ago I think.

Kind of bullshit that they would make a big deal about making all thier vinyl readily available to fight outrageous prices and fans getting ripped off then make this album "very limited".

 

I'm legit exhausted from sitting at my desk because of all this.

in fairness we are all jumping to the conclusion that this will be the only vinyl release.

it's the uncertainty that is driving it mad.
if they announced that this was a special limited pre-order with more options to follow nobody would care

but brand new knows how crazy they can make things

 

Does anyone else think that in 2018 they will simply announce that they are not Brand New anymore and rename themselves like "We Liked Your Older Stuff Better" or "Slightly Used" Or "Middle Aged" and continue on like they have been for the past 6 years? Because they will not be brand new anymore?

 

I'm a casual Brand New fan and after reading through this entire thread I feel like I've just spent a good 15 minutes looking through a window into a room where a bunch of people are just cartoonishly running this way and that.
