Sometimes I wish they could operate more like a normal band. Manchester Orchestra did it right for their new album not like this bullshit. Reading around on social media and so many people are pissed off. Some got double charged but aren't sure if it went through some think it did but aren't sure. A lot of uncertainty and frustration.

 

It does feel a -tad-....I'm not even sure what word I want to use that they just got thousands of people to pay $50 without having ANY idea what they're paying for lol. But oh well, I'm on this circus ride, if the album isn't great I'm sure I can make some money back.

 

@cwhit still think they'll do a dc date? the 24th is open. also someone on reddit said there'd be a university of delaware date. could do that on the 22nd. praying they add both of these

 

You will be able to sell it for way more than it's worth if that's the case. I can't imagine what'll go for on Discogs.

I don't really see a point in being upset over lack of info in regards to the actual album. What is there to know? The band Brand New recorded music and are releasing it. If you don't feel comfortable buying based on that, go ahead and wait. There will be other ways to obtain the music for cheaper/free whenever it is actually available.

I spend most of the day refreshing the politics thread and today i happen to be in day-long meetings. get to check in to chorus for the first time and see the news post 1 min ago (queue a classic chorus favorite 'day old news' comment here) and then come to this thread and see i'm an hour late. fuck.

but really, this is such a stereotypical thing for them to do all while being a 'fuck you' to anyone who wasn't on facebook between 12-12:20

 

I agree that at least an album title would be nice. But still, as I said october is a hop jump skip around the bend.

Yes -> Keep Vinyl Record
No -> Scalp on eBay and make big daddy dollars

You pretty much have to have a plan B with any pre-order you go in on.

 

My BK tickets were not will call (confirmed w/sound rink because I entered an incorrect shipping address)... was weird because it said "Will Call" at checkout, but customer support said I paid for a shipping fee & therefore they were being mailed.

 

When the album initially said sold out for me, I kept hitting complete order and it finally took about 5 min after. Got confirmation and everything

Is this the sort of thing where people will shock buy at a high price right when everyone receives it or is this something to hold on to for a few years to make the big bucks? Assuming I end up not liking the record

Any speculation to who will be opening these US dates?

 

I mean would it really make a difference if they had a track listing and album art? How does that tell you anything more about whether it's worth the purchase?
