Soooo bostons counter nazi rally next week looks like 10,000+ may show up...? That number can't be right... can it?

 

Anyone else find it odd (where by "odd", I mean "instep with a their platform that caters to white nationalism") that all these republicans decrying the events of this weekend only refer to "White supremacy" and not "white nationalism"?

 

Further proof they just want to make the term antifa the new boogeyman - Antifa - most Fox News viewers probably can't tell what it actually stands for, but just like ISIS, they've been told that it is bad and they should fear it.

it's amazing people have been able to weaponize the words/phrases BLM and antifa, two things that should be very agreeable to decent people

 

One of the things that upsets me the most is I know several republicans who loathe Trump and white supremacists and they get grouped in with all these insane racist fuckers.

Saying Black Lives Matter implies that another races life might be as important as the white elite. They can't handle it.

 

Why are they republicans if they loathe Trump and the white supremacists? Don't they realize that those people are now the core of their party? Also don't they realize that republican policies by and large support white supremacy whether they like or not?

 

Likewise. But I do feel like there could be a mom racist Republican party. I mean, the couple I'm talking about totally supported the anti racist protests that have been going on. I hate how divided this country is.

 

They do. I should preface they didn't vote for Trump. If you do research, you can find Republican politicians (few as there are) who don't hold those same ideals. That's who they support. But they hate what their party has turned into.

 

Do you think its "what their party has turned into" or "what the rotten core of their party is that has finally been exposed"?

 

I do believe there are those who are apart of that party that are not racist, and truly have good intentions. Is that to say that's ever been the core of their party? I don't know, honestly. But I would like to believe that if those i just mentioned were to unite push the rotten core out, there could be a good Republican party. I don't know if that makes sense? I'm not Republican myself, by the way, but I'm doing my best to explain their P.O.V.

 

Yeah I mean despite everything I like to think people have gotten better over time on social prejudice, so I really hope it's that the rotten core is exposed as opposed to people getting worse
