Curious what Dier will think about this signing. If we are spending 30m+ on Sanchez I'd imagine he will be starting. And I don't see him starting over Wanyama or Dembele. I still think Spurs value Dier greatly. He can fill-in at CB or CM (or RB if playing 4 at the back). So keeping him around for the inevitable injury or two will be important. But he may not be too happy with decreased time.

EDIT: Add in the rumored Barkley move and that's even less time for him.

 

Dier should come to a team that will care about him and pay him what he's worth

There are mixed reports. Some say a deal has been reached. Some say Ajax haven't accepted yet. But like you said he wasn't in the lineup today and he isn't injured. There was also reports that he has informed Ajax he wants to leave for Spurs.

Nothing surprises me with this club though. We could wake up tomorrow and read he's signed with Chelsea. But I'm pretty confident this one is happening.
