Nothing surprises me with Trump anymore since the Grab 'Em quote... he could praise Jerry Sandusky for his outreach with kids... it doesn't matter. His base won't be unfazed. I can predict what he'll say before he says it at this point.

yeah I rewatched the trans episode again a year or so ago and it was so gross

 

God damn I tried to make this point a few weeks back. This is good.

 

For me much of the issue isn't or wasn't even about him listening to or wanting to listen to a "different viewpoint" it was letting that "viewpoint" be signal boosted with no pushback or context or qualification of the extreme bigotry expressed. And literally the next podcast segment was about "not using Uber but using Lyft because Uber is a cesspool" and there was a long speech about how bad Uber is and why and yet a "rec" of listening to Ben Shapiro went without anything beside "I don't agree with 90% of what he says but..." --- and I think that's the wrong way to present that kind of show or podcast or "viewpoint." The extreme hatred should be told to listeners of a podcast that does 100k downloads and makes at least 5 figures an episode. I think that's important. Especially if they didn't know. (Which is why I even tweeted to begin with.)
