Loved Nier, didn't get all 26 endings because I made ~that choice~ after E and I'm very content with my time in the game.

 

Zelda had tons of great stuff that I don't think I ever heard while playing the game, ha.

 

zoras domain and the dragon roost island remake where particualrly beautiful. i really like death mountain's song, but yeah im surr theres a ton of great tracks i dont even remember ever hearing.

 

BotW being so withholding with it's music was one of the most surprising and kind of disappointing things about it.

 

I liked it, if the area outside of the hubs had non stop music it would have been annoying and it would have killed the vibe they created. Regardless of how you feel about that though the music that is there is amazing.

 

So, I'm a few hours into BotW. Most recent save is inside the beast near Zora's Domain. I like the game, I do, but for some reason I just can't focus on it for more than an hour or two at a time. (not to mention the weapon breaking mechanic, in my opinion, is just too unforgiving - it's just tedious considering how little space I have in my inventory) Again, I can see the appeal of the game, I just feel like coming off story rich games like NieR and Persona, it's just really hard for it to hold my focus. Does this improve as the game goes on?

 

Yes and so does the weapon system

 

Be sure to find the Korok seeds by searching under rocks and doing the little puzzles. You can trade them in for weapon/shied/bow slots. Also the further you go into the game you'll find stronger weapons which last much longer.

 

Eventually you're going to have a large inventory, full of awesome weapons, and you're going to be begging for one to break so you can pick up the 3 awesome weapons you see. I was super hesitant on the system but it does get a lot better.

 

I convinced 2 friends to buy Horizon Zero Dawn today and they both adore it.

I recently invested in a PS4 so I could play Horizon Zero Dawn (and Persona 5) and I am certainly not disappointed.

Arthur Gies is leaving the games media (except for his podcast Rebel FM) to go back to school. I do not agree with all of his thoughts on games, but he is one of the good ones regardless, so I'm a little sad.

 

Moved all of my stuff to the new apartment in NYC, so I'm sleeping on the floor in my parents' house and playing a lot of Smash Bros for the 3DS. Forgot how rock-solid this port is.

 

It's by far the more successful version of the two and it was released earlier. If you think about it that way the WiiU version is the port, haha.

 

tried to go back and finish mad max rest of its bullshit and i couldn't even last 20 minutes before I quit

not even Spotify could save me from that one

I technically got the bad ending. After the credits tho did you choose to kill them or not? I chose not to.

 

Supergiant know how to make such beautiful/engaging games.

Pyre is soooo good thus far.

 

I really need to check out the game. It reminds me of a shoot 'em up mixed with A Link to the Past dungeons.

 

I downloaded the Mass Effect Andromeda 10 hour trial today and am actually really into it so far.
