I mean, it's been all over Twitter. Hard to believe, but yes, liberals are racist when black left-wing people criticize them. Here we can see white liberals effectively calling Nina turner uppity:

Now, I actually happen to agree that it's almost all on the senate. However, this is the same party, the same man, and the same voters who spent hte last 8 years saying Obama's leadership, or lack thereof, is the reason why the Republican senate filibustered everything.

Funny how leadership doesn't seem to mean as much now.

I'm not one to deny that there is a history of getting mad at black people for being outspoken...but weren't we just posting yesterday about how criticizing someone who is a POC shouldn't be off limits? Or does that only apply to non-socialist peoples?

 

So the first tweets shared still look like fake sock puppet accounts to me, and then there's other people saying dumb stuff? And that makes it the "liberals"? How's this different than the charge that Bernie Bros are racist and sexist when black or female center-left people criticize them? Like, a few days ago weren't we talking about how judging each "side" of the left by the worst of them on Twitter ends up hurting everyone?

I can search Twitter right now and find some horrific shit from any and every political dot out there. Socialist bros were saying awful stuff to people a few days ago. But I don't think that's indicative of the entire group. And I think just feeding the worst pre-conceived notions over and over again becomes self-fulfilling.

 

This is what literally all educational reforms are aimed at now. "Developing skills for workers." The English section of the SAT is now basically "Can you read science texts in English?". I was trying not to slide under the table I was rolling my eyes so hard at the "consultant" we brought in.

The reason it is being called out is precisely because these are the same folks who use identity politics to bash the left. These specific liberals were being shitty and racist, just as one can say that such and such socialists were being shitty and racist. There's a distinction being made here.

There are reasons why liberalism, in general, is racist, but that isn't the point being made. It is about the opportunistic ways in which black and brown people's identities are weaponized by, usually, white people. If, however, it is a person of color from the left who is arguing against, say, Kamalar Harris, these same "principles" aren't held to and they're attacked viciously.

 

Regarding moving out of the US: I made the move last year to Germany through the education route and have no plans on going back (no I'm not rich, but do recognize the privilege of being able to make such a move). I think the distinction of specificity gets lost when labels like "liberals" are used and not ... "look at this specific person being an idiot online."
