Can't be upset with this. Only a few conflicts minus ADTR/TBS/Paramore all closing their stages and overlapping with the headliners which I kind of expected.

This really sucks for me. Buzzcocks/Hotelier were two of my only must-sees for Friday, and Danzig/TLA ATDI/Wu is even worse for Saturday. Really didn't get a good draw on these considering this is my shortest must-see list ever. Sunday will be fine.

Yeah I'm also bummed about Streetlight, Wu Tang, TBS conflict but no worries there either

I still haven't seen a full FIDLAR set, but the other bands playing at that time beat them out easily for me. Haha.

How great is that streak on Sunday from 4:15-6:45 (Menzingers/Flatliners/Mad Caddies)?!! Could not be more perfect for me!

Bummed about the small overlaps (atdi / Wu Tang / tbs and paramore / jawbreaker) but I can survive those, only major one is Vic Mensa / new Order

The end of night overlaps (particularly Sunday) are really frustrating. They could have easily been avoided by putting ADTR/Paramore as closers on Roots, bumping everyone up a time slot, and kicking the opener each day over to a smaller stage.

  7. Not too bad for me this year. Don't know what I'm going to do with that mess of partial conflicts on Saturday night, and Cap'n Jazz / The Menzingers / Built To Spill / The Flatliners conflict on Sunday is a bummer but it's an easy decision for me to see Cap'n Jazz. A couple other decisions I'll probably make day-of.

  8. A bunch of my conflicts are between bands I'll probably never get to see again vs bands I know I'll have another chance to see/have already seen, but also that I probably like more than the band I likely won't see. Like, Buzzcocks vs Hotelier, I listen to Hotelier way more but I've seen them three times and know they'll be back around.

Gonna be doing lots of running between stages that last 3 hours on Sunday.

Gwar for 20 minutes > Prophets of Rage for 30 min > Full Paramore set > Rest of Jawbreaker

No I'm REALLY hoping for Hotelier, TLA, ATDI, and Streetlight aftershows so I can see the bands they conflict with. Also a Smith Street one would be cool so I can show up a little later on Saturday, ha.

menzingers is an easy easy third there, i might have chosen BTS because they're playing that full album, but yeah. real shitty.

dino jr/tvotr is a rough one too that's been understated

Menzingers are probably my favorite band at the moment so I know I'll have way more fun during their set. I was hoping to check out BTS though

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Overall pretty good for me. Worst overlap is the partial Streetlight Manifesto and Taking Back Sunday one.

It's rad to see La Armada and Turnspit added to the fest. Two of the best locals active in Chicago now. I still probably won't be going to the actual festival though because $$$ is going to be an issue after my move in the next couple weeks.

Well there's a ton of conflicts, but most of it is manageable.

My biggest question right now is whether I try to see a bunch on Sunday, or just embrace the Radicals stage all day so I can get rail for Paramore. I'm definitely going to Say Anything and the Menzingers, but I would've liked to catch the end of Cap'n Jazz or Built to Spill. I'd also like to see the flatliners or Pennywise, but I could live without. Bummed to miss Prophets of Rage and MIA, but I don't really want to try to catch the beginning then run over to Paramore anyway.

Honestly I'm genuinely pissed they're having TBS close a stage again. For once could they take like a 6 pm slot on the main stage. Hopefully they do an aftershow.

Don't love that New Order vs. Vic Mensa conflict (and Mayday but they're easier to skip). I'll probably go with Vic since I've never really listened to New Order, but at the same time I could use New Order to get a better NIN spot, so who knows what I'll do.

Bad Brains vs. FIDLAR is also a bummer (and again bummed about Bayside but they're easier to skip too). Not completely sure, but I'll probably go with FIDLAR.

Friday: Skating Polly -> Tobacco -> ? -> The Hotelier -> Chon -> ? -> Vic Mensa or New Order (maybe I'll split them actually) -> NIN

Saturday: Smith Street Band -> Fishbone -> I guess Knuckle Puck (but from the nearest beer tent) -> ? -> FIDLAR (maybe Bad Brains) -> The Lawrence Arms or Danzig -> Gogol Bordello or New Found Glory -> At the Drive In -> Queens of the Stone Age

Sunday: Beach Slang -> Hot Water Music -> Real Friends (only because the friend I'm with will want to see them) -> that dog. -> Say Anything -> Menzingers -> Minus the Bear -> Best Coast -> Paramore -> Jawbreaker

Feel free to fill in my ? marks or tell me were I'm making a mistake.

Well this will be a new layout, but in the past it's not terrible, but it'll take 5-10 minutes depending on how far the stage is and how many people are moving with you.

I'm thinking Riot/Roots are going to be side by side in the middle of the park. Radicals will be on one far end with Rise on the other far end and then TBD stage will be tucked away where the small stages usually are

I'm hoping Radicals is close to TBD so I can make it for almost all of Flatliners after Menz

Yea I would not be surprised if it's the same layout as last year, but instead of the two small stages playing side by side it's just the Your Name Here stage. If so it would be most consistent RF from the previous year I've ever seen, which would be very welcome.

Yeah pretty sure that'll be it. I hope they have the gate on the side of the street where the train station is again. Having to walk all the way around was horrible haha

Also I just noticed Streetlight is playing the small stage?!?! And GWAR/Andrew WK

Maybe it won't be as small this year since there is only one

Was hoping that MIA and Paramore would be back to back, wonder what I'll do.

Bummed the Flats only get a half hour as well. Gonna be a hell of a run when the Menz set ends lol.
