Those three songs are fine, but it's a long record and the mid-section is undoubtedly the weak point. I wouldn't cut them, but I do skip them sometimes.

Burning Man? Ouch. Although I can agree Good for You is the least awesome song on the album.

Yeah, I thought Burning Man was pretty much considered a staple.

I thought "Thanks A Lot" was considered to be a great song to most, as well. It was one of the best ones live

Good for you is the best of the three, which are probably the weakest part of the record

"thanks a lot" is one of the best 3eb songs ever. "good for you" is rescued from anonymity by its extremely heavy guitar breakdown

generally that section of the record is why i considered blue superior for a long time (blue is still my fav 3eb record but i'm less aggro about how it is objectively better than the s/t bc it's not)

Burning Man is my least fav of the three, I love the verse melodies in Thanks a Lot (Stephan going low on the third "I woke you up...." line especially is a highlight), and I like the guitar on Good For You quite a bit. I'd def say that section of the album drags quite a bit but I like all those songs enough for them to stay.

i'm the sound that's buzzing round your head

"thanks a lot" features some of my favorite 3eb lyrics which is at least partially a consequence of my penpal/crush in high school quoting the song in a letter to me

  13. "Company of Strangers" is still on constant rotation for me. I can't get enough of that song!

I feel like We are Drugs as pretty meh overall, but I really do love "Queen of Daydreams" and "Don't Give In."

Also: "Blade" so gud, y u no play "Blade" Stephan? :tear:

I wonder what the next setlist will look like. They've been fairly good about incorporating some deeper cuts in over the years. I remember I saw Anything and Non-Dairy Creamer at a show once, I'm not a super big fan of NDC (don't hate it either), but just hearing those songs out of left field was special

"Anything" was a staple the first 3 times I saw them. It's crazy to think that it's considered a "deep cut" now. They would always play an extended version of it. I'm glad I was able to see Non-Dairy Creamer live, as well.

Seeing them in October. Really wanting to get my Self-Titled album signed, but not wanting to pay those meet and greet prices ($250 for the lowest one...). The venue I'm seeing them play at has a back area where I've met tons of bands before so I'm hoping to try my luck. Only reserve I have is that they might not try to meet people if they haven't paid for the meet and greet BS.
