Honestly, think this is just the start for Spurs. Levy is a tight shit and y'all have unreal players on comparative pennies. Rose just had the balls to go for it.

  2. I think we can increase the wages once we get into the new stadium. Otherwise there's no way to keep Eriksen, Dele, Kane, Toby. Too many giant clubs will be offering them double or triple wages.

I mean that's one way to look at it. But look at Arsenal, took them a long while post Emirates for them to get to where they are now with regards to their finances.

  4. If he wants to say all that publicly and make the club look bad ship him out of the country. Don't sell to a rival.

Who'd want him? Most teams that could afford him have their left backs sorted. It's an unfortunate situation but I think it's us or City. God knows why City since they just bought Mendy but you never know

LAFC supposedly wanting Zlatan and Lallana (???) as their second and third DPs. Lallana threw me for a huge loop, but he'd be a great coup for the league as a whole, I think.

Apparently Rose is on 30k a week holy shit. No wonder he's throwing Spurs under the bus.

  8. He obviously deserves more. And I doubt Levy would disagree. I wonder what those negotiations were like when talking about a new deal.

Kyle Walker pays more tax than Rose earns!

Didn't realise Rose is 27. Yeah this is his hail mary isn't it. Wants that cash money.

Wouldn't be a terrible move for Arsenal or Chelsea to snag him, either, for depth.

  12. It's a total money grab. He was average at best majority of his time at the club (10 years). Poch turns him into a star and now he wants to cash out. Can't blame him for wanting more money. But he handled it poorly imo.

  13. If we sold him to either club I'd be done haha

Apparently he said he wants to move north, or will move north.

Kinda makes you wonder what most of the Spurs starting XI is making and why teams aren't poaching them. Even midtable teams could pay Rose better.

  16. I'd be ok with Luke Shaw plus cash I guess

  17. Most have signed new deals in the past year. I think only 1-2 make 100k or better.

Is Arsenal further north in north London? :crylaugh:

I'm guessing they made their buyout clauses astronomical across the board to protect themselves from poaching?

  20. The part about playing up north doesn't sound as bad when you read the entire quote.

    @fangclubb Prestigious

    Nope. Further south :-p

Honestly I'd ask to leave if Sissoko was getting paid more than me too.

New theory: he wants to go to celtic so he can come in first for once

  24. We can't sign anyone because of the strength of our first team. We can't keep players because we can't sign anymore.

    Lovely.

England doesn't really do buyout clauses

Edit: for the most part, obviously.
