Like I said, if it were a legal thing you'd assume it would be off the band's account with 820k+ followers by now.

You'd also think that sort of thing would have been figured out before approval/publishing and before using a caption like "no arrows."

I could see it being a Nirvana issue if the arrows were enough to differentiate it. Hope that's not an album cover and they've already started printing them if that's the case lol

 

Doubt it, all the old stuff is already under Tom's name anyway, it's the new stuff they would have to be worried about and not want to have to pay royalties on. Maybe there was some kind of logo clause before and this is too similar. No idea, but that's my guess.

Edit: oh you mean the the artwork, either probably will but the person to do it doesn't have access to it? Or it got too many comments and swapping didn't make sense? I dunno. Or Mark uploaded the wrong one? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It has to be. Plus as Tom has been quoted as saying he's moved on and happy for those guys. It seemed like one of those relationships where you didn't want to be the one breaking up with the other so you just let it go on. Eventually Tom got what he wanted.

 

Okay but if that's the case, why leave up a post that was made today and not replace with the "proper" one? Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Artwork was just reposted on the band's account without the logo. Now we can definitely assume it may be a legal issue.

Anyone wish they hadn't seen the artwork with the logo at all? I know I'm going to look at that spot and think about how it used to be there all the time now, lol

 

My only guess is they got too many negative comments about the new logo and got rid of it. But that still wouldn't make much sense, since they probably already had a bunch of merch printed up with the new logo.

 

I wish I didn't...it looks worse with the logo. Mostly because I was expecting it to be placed elsewhere. Now I'm not sure what will happen.

Full disclosure: I never cared for the smiley.

Its the face one makes when getting interviewed for a job and having to recount a prior work experience that was just awful, but having to spin it in a positive light.

That's it. Single art doesn't have the smiley with no arrows while the album art does.

 

What if the song "Bored To Death" is about the television series that was on HBO with the same name?
