I'm gonna try this even though I only recently started getting into EPL some last season so I'll probably suck lol

You'll win the league. It's how it goes.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I am pleased to see that no one has listed Newcastle for relegation. I am not that confident. Surprised that people think Stoke and West Ham are potential relegation candidates. West Ham particularly look to have made some astute signings.

Predicting the top 6 seems almost impossible at the moment. I think United are a good shout for title winners, but I really don't know how Spurs, Arsenal or Liverpool might fare this year. I'm going to assume that Liverpool won't be fancied for much and will quietly end up doing well. Arsenal will spend the year moaning about the Europa.

    Top 6:
    United
    Chelsea
    Spurs
    Liverpool
    City
    Arsenal

Now I've written it out, it looks ridiculous...

    Brighton
    Swansea

I don't think Newcastle will go down. I say this a lot, but there's definitely 3 worse teams than them in the division. I think Rafa is a great manager and will have them well drilled.

I just want Brighton to stay up. I'd like Huddersfield to stay up too. Don't care after that.

I'm tempted to do fantasy, but I'll get bored after a week. But work is dead atm so it'll give me something to do.

I genuinely think 1-6 could be picked out of a hat. Only thing I'd have trouble seeing is Spurs outside the top 4. Their depth and Wembley concern me and why I don't think they'll win the league, but they're the most consistent and well-oiled of the top sides and I'll be surprised if they don't roll through the rest of the mid-lower of the league again. Last year I felt United had the highest factor of combustible elements, this year I think it's Chelsea and Arsenal.

United had so many draws against medium tier teams last year. Think Lukaku and Matic will help sort that out. Admittedly, Zlatan's knee falling off hasn't helped, but Lukaku is proven in this league, with multiple teams of a lower standard (sorry Evertonians).

Yeah I really can't confidently place Spurs.

I think United can win the league, but I could also see them having some of the same issues as last season. I think them and Liverpool have the greatest ability to improve on the issues that plagued them last year.

My hesitation with Spurs is can they handle the rotation with UCL. They've got some depth, but a few injuries and it can go off the rails quick.

I'm not expecting them to struggle per se, but perhaps Wembley plus UCL (and probably EL after groups) will be difficult the juggle. Still expect them in the mix and expect the top 6 to be separated by very few points.

  17. If we don't make some signings soon we will definitely struggle in CL.

  18. Injuries are also a big concern. Rose isn't expected back this month. Lamela even further out. Trippier will miss a few weeks. Wanyama and Son are close but not sure about this week. 5 important players out to start the season. As I said before, we can still field a solid starting lineup but the bench right now is so weak. A couple signings plus getting healthy and I feel very confident about title chances. But those two things may ever happen.

Was looking at the fixtures, and I think Man City should have a lead coming into the end of Autumn, they have a great start fixture wise and everyone else could be playing catch up.

  20. Spurs board is in meltdown mode haha

  21. Coutinho and Dembele seem to be happening. Great signings for Barca.

I think Pool losing Coutinho would have them firmly at the bottom of the top 6 for me. On one hand I'll never complain about seeing a rival weakened, but on the other hand I hate to see the league lose a player of his quality.

Supposedly wasn't going to at all. But he made the match day squad and looks "as fit as the end of last season" so probably.

  25. Ronaldo not in the starting lineup

He's totally gonna sub in late and get the winner
