Probably my favorite off that album.

New "There, There" is aight, but it makes me just want to go back and listen to the masterpiece that is TGG again.

 

Alright after a nice weekend I am ready to start this thing back up again. With Washington Square Park winning The Upsides Tournament we move onto the polarizing No Closer To Heaven. There's a lot of interesting matchups here that I think will lead to a fun game. I encourage everyone to give the record and it's b-sides (I've included Palm Reader (Alternate Version, Slow Dancing With San Andreas, and It's (Sort Of) A Pleasure To Meet You) a run through before voting to give yourself a better perspective for the songs. Honestly I'm generally not huge on either so this was a 50/50 choice for me.

I Don't Like Who I Was Then
Easily one of my favourites on the record. So good live. I WAS NINETEEN AND AFRAID!

Thanks For The Ride
When I first listened, I thought this was the catchiest song on the record and it's really stuck with me.

Stained Glass Ceilings
Man, the last part of this song is incredible. Love Jason's vocals.

A Song For Patsy Cline
Simply one of the strongest songs on the records.

Cardinals
One of the band's best songs full stop. Every single thing about this song is incredible.

The Bluest Things On Earth
Originally wasn't hugely into this song but I was listening to the album again recently and it's grown on me a lot.

Cigarettes & Saints
I get goose bumps during the intro to this song. Every. Single. Time. I refuse to kneel and pray. I won't remember you that way. I get goose bumps just thinking about that part of the song.
