Can't stand seeing those huge blocks of black every time I come in here.

 

I suppose they're better than the alternative, but yeah, this whole situation is kind of bumming me out. I don't really blame anyone (except the site for fucking up) and I don't know if it's even fair that I'm upset about it, but it is what it is

 

i'm just going to rehash every single discussion a month from now so look forward to that

 

It's not "better" morally really, imo. Though, I mean, it is a legitimate streaming/music site....if people want to click through clips of songs to get the whole picture....that's just determination. haha. I'm throwing money at the band, going to see them, read all their interviews, buy their merch, etc..... I just want to hear their new album haha. I dont personally feel bad about it, but to each their own.

That being said, I only listened to it this way once....and it's too annoying to really bother doing it again. I am surprised someone hasn't stitched them together though.

We are in for a treat with this one. This is gonna take over my summer.....and be sad to come back later and reminiscence about I'm sure, oh boy...haha :).

 

This. The people who have heard this already should be prepared for repeating conversations, haha.

 

With new people the conversations are never the same. I'm excited to have more people to discuss this with and to get a version I can listen to over and over again.

 

it's fucking spectacular. It definitely lives up to that Kid A/TDAG leap that we all read

it feels more like a step in a different direction than a leap forward to me.

 

I did this too, couldn't stand waiting any longer after hearing the stream. I feel a bit bad about doing it but I'm not going to leak it so I don't see that much harm in doing so.

Album is absolutely incredible, definitely worth the wait

 

I used a program to record the sounds my laptop makes into Mp3s. I think it's called record my MP3 or something like that

 

I've tried to get into Home, Like Noplace Is There, but I don't quite relate to the lyricism though I recognize why people are so attached to it.

Hearing the comparisons to TDAG, and leap that was from Deja, intrigues me immensely. I want to hear this album so I can decide on whether or not to drop cash on the vinyl.

 

I did it for one song.. Just didn't feel right to me idk.. I deleted everything I did after.. I just grabbed the clips from inspecting the elements of the 30 second clips.. It was pretty seamless but idk didn't feel like the right way to listen to the record. I have heard every song now but I havnt listened to it in sequence just random songs to get a feel for them.

Haha also means it won't leak since I don't think anyone outside of this websites community knew about the leak. I did a Twitter search and peeps are not talking about it.

Was actually going to attempt to rip them after work tonight because I honestly haven't stopped thinking about the album since I listened to it over the weekend. I guess I'll just wait now. It got me to pre-order the vinyl, so I guess it served it's purpose.

I literally can't wait to hear this album but I'm glad I didn't listen to the clips. Hopefully it doesn't leak but I wouldn't mind hearing it early if it streamed or wasn't clips haha

 

This release has been really strange. Even before the clips incident, everything seemed really strangely spaced out.

 

This.... I get it, just wish they waited until April to announce the record.
