Alright everyone, the championship has been running for a fair amount of time, and we have a winner by one singular point. It was touch and go head to head all day but finally we have a winner:

Call Come Running-11

This sees You Can't Look Back move to the Champions bracket, and Call Come Running into the Wild Card round. That was a tough call match that could have gone either way. This concludes the games for Tidal Wave.

Alright everyone, welcome to the TAKING BACK SUNDAY FACE OFF. This will be NCAA style matches, with randomly generated brackets for each album facing off to decide which is the winner of each album. At the end of all of the albums, we'll do a finale Champions Bracket to decide the best overall TBS song. We will start off with Tidal Wave and work our way backwards. Here are the rules:

1. Voting will take place over 10-24 hour period, depending on How close the matches are(if there's a wide margin too far to beat the round may be run ruled to not waste time).
2. You must vote on every match in a round. If you don't your other votes don't count. Jut reply to this thread with your choices. I will not vote unless there is a tie needed to be broken.
3. Feel free to discuss why you chose one song over the other and why you like that song. It's what helps keeps these fun!
4. I avoid byes into rounds if I can, but sometimes it's necessary. These are randomly generated I do not pick them.

Have not been a fan of any album after New Again, but I do love All The Way and Nothing at All so I'll give this a try:

Happiness Is.. and Tidal Wave are both great records! S/T I'm not a huge fan of, outside of a few songs

 

I actually did like Tidal Wave when it first came, but definitely not as much as those first four albums. I only really listened to it a few times though before forgetting about it. I'll have to do a revisit eventually.

 

Do it. It's a damn good album and repeat listens seem to enhance it imo

You just had to put They Don't Have Any Friends and Better homes against each other first, didn't you? Most of these were easy choices for me except that one. Two of my top three on the album probably. But Better Homes is just one hell of a TBS song and features one of my favorite John moments on any TBS song ("held on tiiggghhhhtttt" going into the bridge).

How I Me Your Mother over All The Way was a little tricky too, but in the end it was an easy choice. The song is damn fun.
