Not surprised with WSP but Scared was a bit of a dark horse. Just listened to the two back to back and I know where I stand..

  12. I Was Scared & I'm Sorry is my favorite TWY song, so that's easy.

My two favorites from the era. The "left a lot of blood in California" outro is one of the more memorable TWY moments but so is the Outback Steakhouse line and bridge in I Was Scared. Ultimately though I think WSP means just a bit more to me and is the better live song

Washington Square Park as it's simply the best pre-Suburbia song they did, and it's fantastic live.

I Was Scared is great though, and sits alongside Melrose Diner, Everything I Own and Hostels & Brothels as one of my favourites from that era of the band.

WSP is such a great live song every time. It never grows old to me. "And they did." Best little throw-in to that song. All that to say, the message of I Was Scared is key to me. Just the idea of making progress, one small step at a time. All that as well as the lyrics Sarah Marshall, Outback, and the bridge make it for me.

Awkward moment when you spot yourself in this crowd. For people who weren't around for the earlier days or people who want to enjoy some nostalgia, you should check out Matt Brasch's YouTube channel mattbrasch

He filmed and edited a bunch of shows from Upsides and earlier.

I think the title track on NCTH is a really beautiful song, just wish Soupy performed it in a more passionate way instead of the sleepy delivery.

(it just popped up on my Spotify radio)

I adore I Was Scared but WSP is without a doubt one of their best live songs, and could be argued to be their best live song, so I give it the edge for that reason.

I'm just happy I got to see that performed on the headline last fall. I'm sure it'll pop up again on the headline this year. But I have since got the entire NCTH artwork tattooed on my chest along with the lyrics "No Matter Where I've Been The Futute Feels Bright."
