I love that song, and yeah one of my favorite closers. If I had to pick out the ultimate YC song though.....like if someone had never heard of them and needed one song to show what they were all about? Hollywood Died

Catchy as hell chorus, nice verse build up, guitar solo and epic string outro jam!

I wouldn't say so, I think that's just their most popular for sure though and what blew them up.

I personally love this idea (the handwritten lyrics). I think it's a great thing for mid-level bands and artists to do.

 

What an asshole that dude is, I mean really. For how popular and successful YC was, their ticket prices were totally reasonable. And as a collector's item, something that Ryan literally has to sit down and write out by hand, $100 is a fair price for those lyrics. Like goddamn.

 

Sheesh. What a douche. I would probably never buy them, but I think handwritten lyrics like that are a pretty cool idea.

Also, does a band really have that much say in how much their ticket prices are? I always figured it was more of a venue thing? But I really have no clue.

 

If my fiancé or someone else important to me were a huge YC fan, handwritten lyrics would be an incredible gift idea. Like, I probably wouldn't buy them for myself but as a gift to someone I love $100 for those is a no-brainer. Hell I'd even throw in the extra $50 for the frame and still consider it a deal.

 

Hahaha that guy said they shouldn't have been doing $30 shows, as if that's overpriced for a show from a band like Yellowcard (a platinum selling band). I get so irritated by the way people act entitled to certain concerts.

I was trying to get Foo Fighters tickets at the Metro in Chicago today (about a 1,000 cap venue), and I had a friend tell me he wouldn't go because he thought $75 was ridiculous to charge. Like what? I get that it may be more than an individual is willing to spend, but how much should be charged for a band as big as them to play at a venue that small?

I just really don't get people's logic when it comes to bands and money sometimes.

It kinda depends on the whole process, but it's never just as simple as "make them $10" or whatnot.

I did lol at the same person getting mad at $30 tickets to a concert with all the Disney Land photos on their profile (one of the most marked up places in the entire world).

Same. I was thinking of getting Thomas one for a wedding gift but forgot what his favorite YC song was.

 

Anyway, could not be more excited for Ryan's solo album/tour.

 

Now's a good time to break out some YC again.

This album is still really good.

 

No matter how you slice it, it is *incredibly* douchey to think that a person or business is wrong for selling a product. What kind of entitlement does it take to have that opinion? That is insane!
