is there anywhere that sells merch from Warped online?

I really want a Bad Omens shirt, but they didn't have my size at the show and trying to order anything from them online through their website or their label's adds on a minimum of $20 shipping which is unacceptable... It does not need to have first class shipping wtf

The Silverstein cd thing was just to boost their first week sales. A lot of bands will do the buy the new record for the signing during their first week.

hold out until warped ends. Bands will start clearing out designs they had on warped. If they doing another us tour after warped really hold out.they'll be really cklearing out any designs they had on warped. This has happened a couple times, where band was out of my size at warped but as soon as it ended either they were either had my size in the shirt i wanted at warped online or they did us tour and getting rid of the shirts they had on warped. Since they clearing out usually discounted or bogo.

I think for the future of Warped, Kevin should ditch the full US tour thing and just do regional stops. Southeast, Northeast, Midwest, Southwest, Northwest. Then he could at least get bigger bands and in theory bigger turnout to fewer shows. Buttttt then again I don't know a whole lot about booking festivals so it might be a moot point.

Thats an interesting thought. They're so well established as a tour with so many dates and a lot of people including myself would rather have a smaller turnout with more stops than a bigger turnout with less stops (it would start to feel more like a concert than a show, if that makes any sense).

    And saying
If the design you wanted doesn't sell out, there's a good chance they'll put the leftovers up for sale once the tour ends. Keep checking for a week or two after the last date.

I think this is the best route for Warped to go if they want to continue it stateside. I'll tell you, as an outsider, the most glaring issue with Warped in today's current live music landscape is that Warped is a really a traveling festival that thinks it's a tour and still charges a ticket price that is in line with what you'd pay for a mid-size tour package. I don't really see how that is profitable, at all.

Breaking up Warped into 4-6 regional plays would be smart but I think if you're Kevin, you might be sacrificing too much of the integrity of the product.

Secondarily, another issue is that this type of music is just not as popular as it has been. Not that Warped has ever really been about catering to the mainstream but it did benefit strongly from about a decade or so of a boom in popularity of this type of music. We're seeing the true end of that.

I think Kevin saved a lot of money on the lineup this year, which in theory would have been fantastic if attendance levels were steady. Also when you have to cancel multiple dates, that's a lot of sunk cost.

If I'm Warped, I'm taking a year off and coming out in a big way for the 25th and then calling it a day.

I don't know if warped doing regional dates would work. 1. There's already so much competion with festivals in this music. (the dwp 1radio shows, riot fest etc.) 2. Warped's brand is kinda built around hey, you can see rediculous ammount of bands for cheap.

My biggest regret of 2015 was not getting a picture with that golden god.

    Wow, I just wonder how?

What dates typically turn out the largest?

The town they had it in today is a college town and a 3+ hour drive from Albuquerque. Most college kids are probably home for the summer and most people from Albuquerque probably don't want to drive 3 hours to the venue. Probably has a lot to do with the turnout today.

Just for reference, that crowd on the right is for Memphis May Fire.

The size of their crowd, one of the more popular main stage bands, is drawing what Jule Vera usually does on a good day.

it isn't the first time they've done warped there though. I have never seen a turn out this bad.

To be fair: This is an insanely small market, especially considering there was already an Alberquerque date in June so...

Had no idea there was already an Albuquerque date, when they did Las Cruces in the past it was the lone New Mexico date.

Why would Kevin think this would be a good place to book? Especially since Albuquerque isn't the biggest market in the first place. Oye.
