I'm referring to the Blinkin Park cancellation. Mark would have been back in the US for that.

 

Judging the response of someone you don't know to the tragic death of another person you don't know is just a really weird look. Especially since they actually did know each other. Let Mark live his life and mourn the loss of someone he knew however he sees fit, he doesn't need to be accused of being insensitive by some guy on the internet who didn't like the way he expressed himself/coped.

I mean he used to live in London, I don't care where Mark is. Obviously those shows were going to be cancelled under the circumstances. I'm guessing if Mark had a preference he'd rather be playing the show cause that would mean Chester was alive? This line of thinking comes off as more insensitive to me than anything Mark did.

 

Okay I stand corrected. I understand now. Thanks for refining my perspective.

 

Tom's facebook page lists blink-182.com as his official site... Weird

 

I saw another post about that too. Has it always been that way, or did he recently update it?

He just wants to direct fools to the website to buy merch. Pretty sure he still gets merch money. In his shoes, I'd be plastering blink-182.com everywhere.

 

Kinda makes sense because no matter how hard he tries he'll always be "Tom from blink-182"

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for all your support and help, everyone who donated or planned to donate, and @Greg for promoting it. Now that I have had a couple days to calm down from the shock of my perfect plan being destroyed literally the same day I bought the ring, I did some more digging and found that even the amount proposed by you guys in the gofundme wouldn't realistically cover everything for a new show that wasn't some big festival.

Upon sitting down and thinking about it, I decided I needed to do something within budget that I can afford. I really appreciate you guys reaching out to help, more than you know, but at the end of the day I need to personalize this. I came up with a new plan, and while not as perfect as the Blink idea, it's a darn good Second plan. Taking that into consideration, I am going to close the gofundme and refund you guys. It just makes more sense this way, as crushed as I was to have my master plan trashed.

So really, thank you thank you thank you thank you all for the support, and the care. This really is a community, and I am happy to consider you all friends. And if you guys ever need ANYTHING, even just to vent to someone, please do not hesitate to contact me. I owe you all for the generosity. Thank you again :)

Ps: the new plan, one thing she likes almost as much as blink is ocean life and water. There's a massive aquarium not 4 hours from me with a completely clear tube shark tunnel. Thinking that's a perfect place to do it. It's not blink, but it'll do in a pinch. August 28.

So, what's everyones last thing listened to now? I for the first time in my life am having trouble listening to blink for obvious reasons. Right now I am playing Starset- 'Transmissions'

 

I have Tyler Glenn's solo album Excommunication on right now. Super underrated album.

Also been spinning the new bleachers, Lorde, Paramore, and John Mayer albums.

 

Listening to a lot of Lana Del Ray these last few days. Other than that, The XX, Royal Blood, Courtney Barnett and Lorde have been my go to's for the last few weeks.

 

Going to the blink/PVRIS show tonight. Have they really cut Carousel from the set recently or was that just a one time thing?
