i've never seen Frozen. i used to see all the Pixar and Disney films. think the last one i saw was Toy Story 3. kind of just fell out of interest.

I love Frozen, Elsa is so relatable
I thought it was weird how many adults had intense hatred for Frozen, of course your kid wants to see the same movie over and over again they're kids

I hate the climax of the song where idina songs "let the storm rage OOOOOOOoooOoooooOn" like it actually physically hurts my body with how piercing it is. Other than that I don't mind the song. The movie annoyed me with how tiny all their noses were lol. I only saw it in the last year. It's always weird to see a movie way after all the massive hype.

"In Summer" is the best song in Frozen. But "Let it Go" is great.

Frozen, Wreck It Ralph, Tangled, all very good movies

That troll song is hot garbage and I have no idea how it made it into an otherwise excellent score.

I'm tired and definitely read "all you can eat sand" and was trying to understand that in context.

I was teaching in Korea when Frozen came out and it was equally huge there, all the kids absolutely loved it and would sing the songs in class and stuff.

The littler ones loved the songs, but couldn't speak English to recognise the words, so they just sang it phonetically. So a bunch of kids singing "leigo, leigo!". That was kinda cute.

It is the weakest, but earlier in the movie it would make a lot more sense and wouldn't be as noticeable. Its fine.

  13. Let it Go rules, Idina Menzel rules, and Frozen is an instant classic Disney Princess film

Not about music itself but about the industry:

Even though labels and physical media are dying, now is a better time than ever before to build a music career. The DIY scene is big everywhere now and not just a few select cities. Theh chances of "making it big" are slimmer -- but the chances of getting a reasonable amount of exposure without a parent company are a lot higher.

Which is a good trade off imo because most bands who ever "made it big" only lasted an album or two and gave all that momey to a label. The chances of making it big AND having something to show for it afterwards / having ownership of your music and leverage to promote it, have ALWAYS been minuscule.

Just purely as a musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is Alan Menken's (and therefore Disney's) magnum opus.

the rocket summer has one of the most consistent catalogues of the last 15 years, especially in the AP and related scene

i never listen to them but they have four or five records i at least somewhat enjoy when it comes on, which is more than i can say about most bands

I finally got around to the Menzingers album.... and I don't get it. I think it's very... consistent? throughout, but there wasn't even a single moment that stood out to me and the album seemed to rarely veer off the same straight-lined path musically

i havent gone back to it in a while for a few reasons but one of them is that outside of lookers i dont remember anything else really standing out much. ill have to revisit it because i love that band.

I wasn't into that album at all but I'm just not a big fan of that band outside a few songs from OTIP.
