Whenever I listen to it in my car a bit I'm like, yea it's really great. Then I put headphones on when I get home and I'm
Like holy shit this is the greatest album I've ever heard

This is super good, definitely the most I've liked one of their albums on first listen.

I have no idea what most of these songs mean though or what the album is about as a whole.

Has it been detemrined that Nate Reuss is the higher set of vocals in the group choir on Maze?

Finally got to listen this. I very rarely get to spend time alone with music nowadays, but I really hope I can carve out some time for this one in the future. My first listen through was quite the experience. A very impressive release for these guys. I can't wait to uncover all of the all of the little details on further listens.

we're all a bunch of weirdos on a quest to belong Prestigious

I can't decide what my favorite song on this is. Is it Lead,SD? The Wolf? The Grocery? The Silence? The Maze? Is the best part of the album the "wooooo" in The Mistake? Or is it the "ITS JUST A REFLECTION" part of The Silence? Or the part where it goes quiet and then the synths and bass kick in real sludgey on The Wolf?

Damn it, I should have asked Andy at the signing today about what song Nate sings on. Instead of just, "Uh, the album is amazing."

I don't want to rank the songs. I feel like it's just meant to be listened to front to back (I played the first two singles way too much).

Really is an incredibly album. That closer would be amazing live. I would love to see that with an extended outro as someone suggested earlier

Billy Joel or not, I really love the mistake. In one of the interviews andy said the beginning of the song is supposed to feel like you are in a waiting room and then when the synth punches up it's supposed to feel like falling

Yea I could see them absolutely losing it at the end of that song, and me absolutely losing it watching them absolutely losing it

I thought I heard babies crying or something in the background of two songs. Skeeved me the fuck out earlier. Not sure if anyone else heard that. I may just be crazy

I'm extremely interested in how these songs will fit into a setlist. I'd love them to do what's TBS did with the Tidal Wave tour - just play the whole record front to back first, then play a set of older songs - because it would be hard to mix and match stylistically. But I doubt they'll do that, and am super interested how these would flow with their previous work.

as someone who went to that tbs tour i think that is a terrible idea. i mean this album is better but a band taking an hour to play a bunch of songs a small fraction of the crowd is actually familiar with is a drag
