We Could Die Like This hooks me in every time because of the lyric about Jerome Brown and the Eagles.
I'll never forget AP crashing when Screen Door was released. That whole album cycle was fantastic.

I'll never forget that day either, I'm still accused of "leaking" that song, hahahaha

I never liked this band until after The Greatest Generation came out. Gave their other records a shot because I was into that album and fell in love with Suburbia. I had just moved out on my own then and could resonate with most of the songs, especially after moving back to my hometown. Have seen them three times since then and they're one of my favorite bands. I got back and forth between TGG and Subribia as my favorite. Depends on the day, honestly.

It's a sign of a quality band that all four albums can realistically be argued as their best.

This is my first spring and summer without seeing a TWY Show. (since 2009)
Last show for me was Philly Nov 2016 and it seems like forever ago, weird not have a spring or summer date on the calendar so ...... I'm ready for anything !!!

We're all better if we pretend the first one doesn't exist.

I lived in Birmingham here in the UK for 4 years and never once did they play this bloody song haha. It was written about the city (and Leeds)!

I really think The Upsides has that Full Collapse/Hot Damn/Commit This To Memory impact of influencing a ton of bands and being a gateway for a lot of fans. While its my least favorite at this point and I think the band has done better things since, I'd totally get why someone would consider it their favorite.

The other 3 are very very close in terms of which ones my favorite but NCTH is my favorite for sure.

I know I'm in the minority here, but Get Stoked On It! was what got me into the Wonder Years, who I consider one of my favorite bands. I know it's not great music but it introduced me to a band I have fallen in love with inside and out.

there were flashes of brilliance on GSOI, like When Keepin It Real Goes Wrong, that I still enjoy but yeah overall it feels like a completely different band. I know Dan and the band hate that album but I do think its pretty cool that Dan just kinda wrote those songs off the top of his head. theres some funny lines in there.

but yeah for me WBPF onward is what i love the most

I love the more serious side of The Wonder Years, but the addition of humour on The Upsides is something I wish more bands from the scene had.

Keystone State Dudecore, Bout To Get Fruit Punched Homie, What If We Swam Into Nothing, and When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong are all jams. I can understand someone not liking it for the lyrics but Get Stoked On It is still catchy pop punk songs. Everything they've done after is better but doesn't mean it's bad.

This is perhaps the only thing I think they lost in their evolution past The Upsides.

When Keepin It Real Goes Wrong remains one of my favorite songs from them. It's the connective tissue to what would come, an unmistakable sign of how personal and relatable their work would be. Still a great track all these years later.

Seeing them in Philly must have been incredible. I have yet to see them live but I really hope to soon.

Couldn't be an album announcement right? I don't recognize that phrase being a TWY lyric but maybe I'm just blanking

This is what I was thinking. It might be the EP but I dont see any connection to that phrase.
