It's probably my favorite song on SM.

I think The Parts is my least favourite because the melodies just aren't that strong.

Along with Lead, SD because fuck that song title

I needed something to keep me awake while I was rocking my daughter back to sleep. So I broke down and decided to just listen to this on Spotify.
The Maze got me a little chocked up. It feels so immense, and yet intimate at the same time.
She fell back asleep, but I think I'll stay in this rocking chair with her in my arms and listen to the rest.

I just finished my first listen, and just wow.

The production on this is massive, Andy sounds incredible. They're trying so many new things musically on this album, and they all work so well.

I can't wait to further dive into this album this weekend. I absolutely loved it my first run through.

Well Loma Vista sent part of my order. They sent the Alt Nation 7" with a note saying the photo book was back order.

I want to clarify what I said before. I don't think this has as many instant favorite songs for me, but I do think it's their best cohesive album as a whole.

Happy release day! Going to remember this week for a long time, I pretty much listened to this album non stop all week just trying to immerse myself with the music. I still feel like I have so much to unpack too! Glad a lot of people are enjoying it as much as I have!

oh my goodness, first listen: The alien into the sunshine and then into the grocery, what the heck, how can you be this good.

also, whoever said the dear hunter vibes on the grocery nailed it.

I'm a lot warmer on this album than I thought I'd be. Lead, SD is maybe one of the best songs they've ever written imo. Back half of the album is a little slower than I'd personally like but it's pretty dang great.

Yeah, there's one part near the end of the Grocery that reminds me so much of The Dear Hunter - Waves. It sounds very similar to the "I'm preparing for a burial at sea" part in the song.

Man I love The Alien 1000% more on the album than as a single. The way it bleeds into The Sunshine is great too.

I know it's been mentioned before about The Mistake sounding like Billy Joel's Moving On, but holy shit, like legally, will that be an issue for MO? It's VERY similar.

Wow... I wasn't that in tune with the band during the Cope release so having some time off and to come into this only listening to the gold and not sure what to expect, I'm blown away. This is fucking amazing.
