Manchester is obviously taking this week for me, but I gotta throw out a nod to the Sylvan Esso EP, Echo Mountain Sessions, that came out as well. The EP is five reimaginings of songs from their recent release, What Now, done live in studio with friends. They released videos of the five songs on Youtube through NPR. Here's one:

And that's why you always leave a note.

Ben Gibbard released a full-length cover record of Teenage Fanclub's Bandwagonesque today for a pretty cool vinyl subscription service out of Seattle - pretty fun listen so far.

MO of course takes the cake though.

Manchester has been on repeat since Wednesday. Might get around to Passion Pit this weekend if I can pull myself away from A Black Mile.

So Canadian Softball is like a parody on that genre, right?

My Release Radar on Spotify was weak. I'm surprised Passion Pit didn't show up because I listen to them enough for it to be relevant to add to the playlist.

I've never been a big MO guy outside of a few songs but all this love makes me want to give em another shot.

Stephen Christian (Anberlin) solo album "Wildfires" dropped today, and it's fantastic!
Also, check out Cage the Elephant's "Unpeeled" and Joywave's "Content" albums..

I'm going to give Arcade Fire a listen, but not expecting much based on Craig's review...
