    Saw this:

"Dave Meltzer did his overnight audio (he was at 197) & he said that a blow-up occurred between Lorenzo & Conor & his management well before Conor's "retirement tweet". He called it a "showdown" & that Lorenzo basically had enough & made the call. He said that Dana was not even involved & both sides did not speak about it (after the blow-up) until Conor's tweet that he retired."

But yes, Dana White is dumb and this is all his fault.

OSP apparently broke his arm in the SECOND round.

Looked like it was hurting him early in the fight but he could still throw it. Then Jon slammed him a couple of times around the fourth round and you could tell that's when it REALLY started to set in on him. That fifth round he could barely even lift it.

I feel like that is a tweet that is meant for nothing more than cranking up the heat on Lorenzo. I would be surprised if they added him back this soon

The fact that the organization has yet to say anything about it leads me in that direction as well, but at this point, who the fuck knows...

Dana says the fight is still off.

    Conor just being Conor.

    I'm Back.

Hilarious Conor is trying to go for "make the fans demand it to the point where Dana has to allow it" type routine.

Fuck off Conor, just suck it up and realize you lost the money.

One thing is for sure, Conor is creating more hype and buzz for UFC 200 than him showing up to press conferences probably ever would.

Correct. Probably 10x the amount of free advertising for it. Cynic in me thinks it's a genius ploy from both parties

Goyle from the Harry Potter movies made his MMA debut recently.

They should give him CM Punk.
Article says his dad played pro rugby league for Wales. Probably raised a little hell raiser in that case, toughest team sport

    Hahah. His wikipedia

Guess ol' Jonny's foot is ok. If he isn't injured, then it's probably good that he's getting in there that quick after that layoff. I expect him to come in there looking a lot sharper than he did last weekend.

With all things considered, though, I'm expecting DC to take a decision from him this time around.

Stranger things have happened. Trump talked about wanting to be president for a long time, and the terrifying truth is, he's got a legitimate shot now. Goyle could do it without needing to use wizardry like Trump. And by wizardry, I mean lies.

Does anyone actually think that Cromier can pull it off? Say he does, I bet Jones new work out regimen and long layoff will be to blame. I know he just beat OSP but come on, he didn't look special.

I was slightly hoping for some kind of GSP announcement.

I don't think Cormier can beat Jones.

I'm fairly certain he would have beaten the Jones who showed up at the OSP fight.

I think it definitely would've been a closer fight than the first, maybe even a loss for Jones if Cormier showed up with his best. But if Jones just needed to shake the cobwebs off, which it looks like he did, Jones all the way for me.

Jones/Cormier is one of those fights where I think each guy wins 50% of the time. I know Jones won the first fight pretty decisively, but Cormier was taking the beginning of the fight pretty handily. Jones knew he could outlast him so he drug him into the later rounds. I think it's completely bogus to think Cormier can't win this fight.

Jones should be MUCH sharper in his next fight, I don't think that's too hard to imagine. You can talk endlessly about how DC would've beaten the Jones that showed up last weekend, but it doesn't matter. These two are clearly the top two in the division, so what's going to matter is who can make the biggest adjustments since the last fight. I personally think that Jones won't be able to hold the same advantage in the cardio department thanks to his new physique.

I would agree with the bulk of that. Jones was noticeably slower than usual in the championship rounds against OSP. Not necessarily the result, but I think DC-Jones 2 plays out much differently.

I dunno, but if Jones wins at 200 and defends maybe once against someone like Rumble or maybe even Gus again, I'd like to see him go to HW. He's reaching the level of Mighty Mouse where he's cleaning out the division and needs to move up and take some chances. Either vacate the LHW title or pull a Conor.
