I don't doubt its unfinished but he also could mean anything by that (tracking, mixing, etc.).

Thinking back, wasn't SRAR completed just a little over a month before it was released?

I feel like the hype for this album is the lowest I've ever seen for a FOB album on AP/Chorus. I mean obviously it's still nearly 2 months out and there's not much to talk about at the moment, but still. Personally I hope there's much better songs than the first two on this album, my excitement is pretty low right now.

 

For me part of it is definitely because I know it's not even finished yet. That's just kind of weird to me and makes me feel like they don't have a clear direction for it. I like Young and Menace and Champion is fine, but I agree there's not that feeling of "Wow a new FOB album is coming soon".

 

I was so excited when I heard Young and Menace but Champion is pretty bland and deflated my excitement a bit. I am still looking forward to it and I have it preordered.

 

late night performances are hard to do well, but that one just isn't very good

 

Yeah, I'm still hoping they can pull off something interesting. I've enjoyed every album of theirs to date, I'd still be surprised if this didn't continue that.

 

Jaden Smith is joining them on tour...lol

 

I'm down with Jaden only because I liked his feature on Tyler the Creator's new album. Literally never heard any of his other music but he has a nice voice and there's a good chance I'll see FOB on this tour so why not

Champion releasing totally dodged my radar, just listened over lunch. Y&M didn't land for me on first listen, but within 30 minutes I really started to dig it. Champion is just a bad pop song. I really, really dislike it. That is my groundbreaking contribution to this discussion.

Young and Menace is so much better than Champion. I'm not surprised Champion is doing better than it though

 

What's this mean? I don't see it currently on any charts, are you predicting what will happen or are you saying it's currently in the top 20 of a current chart?

EDIT: now i see the news post, #20 on alt rock charts, nevermind my question now!!!

 

I was just wondering today how hard Fall Out Boy have been pushing the new songs. None of my local radio stations have played either song. The songs from the last two albums have been played nonstop and still to this day are played on the rock and top 40 channels. I don't think I've heard Young Menace since it was released.

 

"YM" wasn't sent to radio.
