On my fifth legendary raid today and in general. 1/2 with Lugia and 0/2 with Articuno. Bout to be pissed if I can't get this Lugia right now..

Hatched a Dratini with 36 candies. Finally able to power up my Dragonite. I could put it over 3000 but I'm not sure if the 3000+ CP pokemon are still handicapped in gyms or not. Anyone know?

 

Did a Lugia raid earlier. All my Pokemon died during battle so I was reviving and healing them to bring back in and when I clicked my last potion my screen froze on the potion window so I couldn't get back into the raid. However I still got all the rewards when the rest of the group finished it lol. I just couldn't try to catch Lugia after.

 

Also, dates for the legendary birds:

• Articuno (Team Mystic) released on Saturday, July 22 and available through Monday, July 31.
• Moltres (Team Valor) to be released on Monday, July 31 and available through Monday, August 7.
• Zapdos (Team Instinct) to be released on Monday, August 7 and available through Monday, August 14.

I went by a park today that had two articuno raids and zero other players. So fuck this little system.

 

Multiple times now I have timed out on simple raids due to network errors when the raid boss was literally two or three hits away from being defeated. This morning it took 20 seconds for my Sandslash to faint, and my next poke finally appeared on screen with one second left on the clock.

Also, is it double candy for every catch atm?

 

Holy shit they need to fix this raid pass bullshit. Saw a huge crowd at an Articuno raid so I ran up and joined with my pass. Turns out I'm the only one in the lobby and they already started so I exited. Now I can't do a raid all day. And I have the whole night off to play too. So dumb.

I agree that they need some kind of system that shows you who is "ready to raid" before you join, but you could've just asked them if they had started yet.

 

Yep, I think both are true. The queue that shows how many people are ready would be helpful since you can see the raid from a distance. 9/10 times I'm not close enough to the raids to see how many people are physically standing there, but I could get there quickly if it was worth it.

 

I'm gonna try the complaining trick. I hate this game it's impossible to get the Tyrogue I need!

Now we play the waiting game.

 

Must be double candy for hatches too, seeing as I hatched a Mareep and got 34 candies!!! Took my Ampharos from less than 1600cp to 2101cp!!! Also got 5 (FIVE) pokes in gyms right now so it's been a pretty good day minus the raid garbage from my last post.

 

Double XP, Candy from catches and hatches, Stardust from catches and hatches and 1/3 distance on eggs ends at 8pm eastern time tomorrow.

 

Yeah I was on the other side of a busy street waiting for a bus though :(

Also there's a lot of gyms at important buildings so I find a lot of time there's people inside doing the raid so you can't actually see if people are there.

 

Ah, gotcha. That makes more sense. That sucks.

 

Just caught an 1800cp Dragonite at my work, from a lure AGAIN! The 4th one I've caught in this exact same way - I trashed it immediately 'cause it was garbage, but still...

 

Still no cleffa or tyrogue. I'm so close to giving up.

 

Which is total BS. Mew should be one of the best Pokémon. Somehow Ho-oh has 1000 more max CP than Lugia as well. Whoever came up with the numbers is a dumbass.

 

Damn, hatched another Mareep just now and I swear I got around 45 candies from it! Ampharos now sitting at 2216cp with 51 candies still to use to power her up - just run out of stardust! Got my 98%iv Charizard up to 2367cp too, and my 98%iv Raichu is now 1832cp; great day!

 

I have yet to hatch a Mareep. I don't like it.

 

Don't. I waited 6 months for a Tyrogue. It will happen.

 

Powered up my Lugia into my top 9 using rare candies! It has two psychic moves so I figured it was a good move even though its IV's could be better.

 

Just had an articuno break out of 15 balls with 15 golden berries so I'm gonna go jump off a cliff now. No way I'll get a second chanc

 

Just got my first gold gym badge! Having a gym I can hit from my desk at work has its perks.

 

Mine was 9 balls, with only 4 hits, and I felt bad.... but yikes, I'm sorry to hear that
