Yayyyyy! It's getting real, guys!

 

Right. This is nothing close to death metal art, people are just getting worked up because of the hashtag or whatever they used.

 

It looks very early 00s punk. Like something Offspring would've had

 

I swear this is how it is when me and my girlfriend are looking for parking

I get more of a retro-synth feel to it

 

Yup, this reminds me of something a punk band I loved growing up would have put out... which is coincidentally exactly what I want out of this record.

 

Can we assume there is going to be 6 panels that size to the artwork and that we now have the bottom third?

 

It reminds me of something Brian Fallon would put on a cover.

 

With last panel posted on Thursday, likely with a song. I can see that.

Also this could possibly not be any album or single artwork at all...just a way to hype up the song. Now with the woman talking to the deadguy, it's very obvious that it's a homage to the phrase "bored to death".

 

I'm assuming there are nine panels so the album art will appear completed on instagram

Which I guess means he'll have to post more than one per day if it's supposed to be up by Thursday

 

The artwork has a little Trio influence to it.

 

If you told me this is El Jefe I'd believe you.

Well, Mark posted the first artwork last night, and this one early this morning. Like 7 or 8am his time. So, I'd bet we'll see something new tonight.

 

I wonder if that bottom white boarder is part of it?

 

I doubt it. If you look at the way it's being posted on Instagram, there's plenty of white. Way too much to be a border when the image is complete.

 

I definitely like the art so far, and if I had to guess, I'd say it's the single art

 

Finally! The artwork actually looks good. I find myself zoning out thinking about the album, and probably looking like this:

 

So they are going to appear tomorrow morning at KROQ Kevin & Bean show?

 

If they're doing a slow reveal, it's definitely album art and likely the single will be premiered at the same time as the album details.

 

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but world premiere is Thursday morning on Kevin and Bean
