^^ We saw a lot of the same bands, you might have seen me wearing a pineapple shirt.

    My day:

Poeta - They still seem pretty raw but I'm going to check them out for sure.
Dance Gavin Dance - The crowd wasn't really into it all that much, and no one other than Tillian really had much stage presence. But I'm glad I finally got to see them, and Tillian live again. Saw him with Emarosa and he kills it every time.
Watsky (15 minutes) - Ehh. I liked some of it but just not my thing.
Fit for a King - I haven't listened to them extensively but they were enjoyable.
Too Close to Touch - Seen them three times now and I've been a little disappointed each time. Also with my earplugs in I could clearly hear Keaton's backing track.
Hawthorne Heights (15 minutes) - Nostalgia factor was A+, but I really felt like they were just going through the motions.
After the Burial - Enjoyable, hadn't really listened to them much before -- I didn't even realize they were from Minneapolis.
Candiria - Was only half listening / half on my phone from the Monster lounge. They were okay.
Silvertooth (25 minutes) - Hard choice to stay for them or head to Boston Manor. I'm really disappointed I didn't grab one of their shirts.
Boston Manor - So good. Can't wait to see them again in the fall. Met them after and they seem like such great guys.
Stick to Your Guns - Enjoyable.
I Prevail - The biggest crowd I saw today. I'll check out their record but I don't get the hype.
Hands Like Houses - Probably my favorite act of the day. They have really gotten good live.
Being As An Ocean - Would love to see them again soon. Their screamer is great, he spent half the show in the crowd.
Neck Deep (15 minutes) - Not really my thing I guess, will check out their stuff though.
Blessthefall - They always put on a good show. I wish they had played earlier in the day though.
GWAR (10 minutes) - I finally got to experience them, at least for a bit.
Memphis May Fire (10 minutes) - Was feeling exhausted and they started to play newer songs so I headed home.

So my date finally came and overall I had a great time, besides not feeling so hot near the end. It was a blast as always, though more than any other year I gotta say I was disappointed by how some bands sounded live unfortunately.

I saw the bolded names (this was my original want-to-see list):

    - Attila (probably the most lively crowd of the day, pure energy. They played the staples and a few new tracks which all hit really hard and were super well received)
    - I Prevail (saw the whole set up close, really good stuff, though didn't sound as good live as I had hoped)

    - Alestorm (the most fun set of the day. The band went wild on stage, the crowd went wild and it all sounded great)
    - Anti-Flag (only caught the last few, but it was really good)

    - The White Noise (unfortunately this was my one conflict of the day and for me it was HUGE, I really really wanted to see them)
    - Bad Omens (even though they were high on my list they still surprised with one of the best sounding sets of the day)
    - Stick To Your Guns (was up close for the whole set, but honestly was just left slightly disappointed overall by their music, meh)

    - Neck Deep
    - The Adolescents (pretty small crowd of true punks out there to see them which was unfortunate, but they played well and sounded good)
    - Trophy Eyes (only caught the first couple songs. I like their new more melodic style but it comes across WAY better on record than it does live unfortunately...)
    - After the Burial (was really disappointed by these guys. Maybe I had to be in the pit to truly enjoy it but I just wasn't feeling it at all)

    - counterparts
    - Gwar (unfortunately only caught a couple songs, but honestly while it still looks really fun and if I was feeling better I'd be in there... it just isn't the same without Oderus)
    - CKY (only caught the last two songs, but once again was kind of disappointed by how they sounded live... still pretty great to hear some of those tracks though)

    - Knocked Loose
    - Movements
    - Silent Planet
    - Sworn In
    - Sick of it All (a surprisingly small crowd, but they sounded really good. Caught a few songs from them before running to another stage)
    - Fire From The Gods (another surprisingly small crowd, but they sounded really good and I can see why they were bumped to main at one of the dates if I recall. Still not super into them, but their talent definitely shines through)

    - Sylar
    - Candiria (probably the smallest turnout I saw for a main stage band... they sounded unique and cool though, but I just wasn't really that into it and had somewhere else to be)
    - Being As An Ocean (pretty disappointed by these guys... I tried to get into them, I stayed for nearly the entire set, but it was just so slow and just such a slog... they didn't sound bad, it was just the music itself. Meh)

    - T.S.O.L.

also saw 3 or 4 songs from Silvertooth (which was solid and it was fun that they were having fun... but honestly while I'm not really big on either band I would've rather have just seen a normal Beartooth set)

and caught a couple songs from Neck Deep while waiting at the other Journeys stage. They were decent, wasn't too bummed I wasn't closer though.

Walked by American Authors and Futuristic. Couldn't stand Futuristic's music, and AA just isn't my style, but it was nice, light, poppy fun I thought.

This might get lengthy, sorry. Complaints first. Not a fan of how warped was set up on the parking lot at canterbury. It was so cramped seriously getting most places took at least 20 minutes because of human traffic jams. Talking to security afterwards and they said they used a quarter less space on the parking lot than last year i guess due to complaints. I miss the field. The skull candy and hard rock stages sound was seriously awful. They sounded like busted car stereo systems. Let's get to the music. It good i went in expecting conflicts cause i got it. 3 bands i wanted to see did. Barb wire dolls at 4:30, stick to your guns at 4:40 and courage my love at 4:55. Grrr the first year at warped i had to make hard choices. Bands i saw full sets from:

Bad cop bad cop i personally prefer my punk on the more aggressive side. Not saying there terrible they just not my thing.

Anti flag was stuck in traffic jam so saw there whole set by force. Agree with them politically but that singer can't sing. Sorry.

Municipal waste that set was so fun for me. It was the only time of the day i got to get pushed and shoved around. More thrash metal on warped next year please.

Courage my love after trying to make stick to your guns and failing grumble damn human traffic saw there whole set. I agree with someone who posted earlier in here wished they had thrown in a older song or two. There new album is alright but I prefer there rock songs.

New years day i like them but there set was so similar to what they played on warped in 2015. Wouldv preferred couple more songs from recent album.

Fire from the gods as mentioned the hard rock stages sound was awful. As far as there music and performance goes personally, i'm not really into rap metal didn't seem like the crowd was into them either.

War on women i felt so bad for them. They headlined and the crowd was basically me, a couple people from otherbands on the tour and maybe one or two other people. Skull candy's terrible sound on top of that. I really like them hope i get to see them again with better sound and bigger crowd.

    Partial sets

Hundredth omg there new stuff iis so boring. I left after 2 songs.

Knocked loose saw them do 3 songs from afar. Wish i could have been in l pit for them what i heard i liked.

Hawthorne heights saw them do do last 2 songs of there set. They sound like they bored just playing the hits.

Bands i missed that I wanted to see

    Stick to your gubns
    Barb wire dolls
    Hatebreed

Overall i got to see half the bands i wanted. Had a good time. Really wants different venue for warped next year though. When sighted people have same complaints about set up as me that's bad.

huh really? It seemed actually slightly larger to me this time. I didn't have a problem getting anywhere to be honest, maybe I just lucked out but I could get to any stage in a minute flat easy. I do very much miss the field too though!

I have to disagree there. The few bands I saw on those stages sounded fine, it was actually a couple of the sets on the Monster stages which was just over modulated it seemed. Too loud that it became a blob of sound and even painful at times.

I think you were lucky getting around. The field is much better. I was at hard rock and skull towards the end of the day though. What i heard from monster stages sounded fine. Same with journeys and full sail.

I'm hoping to see Parkway Drive, Escape The Fate, Thy Art Is Murder, Suicide Silence, Stray From The Path, Hollywood Undead and Avatar (the last two are on tour together right now).

For 'throwback' acts I'd love to see Rancid, NOFX, Lagwagon, AFI, Jimmy Eat World, Social Distortion or Bad Religion (though the last two may be too big for Warped).

Honestly, I think Rancid, NOFX, AFI and Jimmy Eat World are bigger than Social D and Bad Religion.

Social D is big but I think they're a step down in popularity than Rancid/NOFX/JEW. I think they're neck and neck with AFI.

If it's any indication. Social D plays on about a $50 ticket price here and sells out every single time in advance even if they have doubles.

Rancid I would say is same popularity. NOFX and JEW didn't come close to selling out.

Social D has more than just an old school punk base. They have something tied with like motorcycle gangs and old school cars etc
