This album is pretty cool - a nice mixture of elements from Youth and EIGTH while expanding on the latter’s vibe and adding in some cool new effects vocally and musically.

 

In The Middle Of It All is a really good song on the new record

 

Album is also a little more aggressive than EIGTH

 

Any songs in the vein of Stain/Your Favorite Color? I like yelling Ciz

 

“World” and “Fever Days” have moments

Fever Days is the other new one they played live last week and it definitely had some heavier moments/ moments where Mat was yelling like on Stain.

 

Every song on this album is over 4 minutes long save for Fever Days which clocks in at 3:54

@Drew Beringer please stop. The album release is still soooooooooo far away. I just jammed Silo, Jet, Nail in your hand and Cicuta now I just wish I could spin the new record. Seeing this made me want to even more.

I am very hyped for this. If there's a mixture of everything from Jet, to Youth like songs, to EIGTH style songs, I will be very happy.

53 minutes? Damn! Reading what @Drew Beringer has had to say makes me even more anxious to hear this record.

 

They do pull it off / mainly because all 53 minutes are deliberate and there isn't any unnecessary intros or noodling

 

If this tour came around me I probably would've stayed just for the sake of it and to see Miss Murder again and the one or two other songs I may know (I'm honestly not sure if I do), but I would've been way way more interested in Citizen and Circa.

 

Really curious what Fall bill they are going to be on.
I thought they were going to go out with Thrice.

Maybe they will be on the Brand New + Prawn bill

That Thrice tour is a pretty solid bill. Also very curious to see what tour Ciz will be on in the fall.

My B&C / Thrice prediction came true...and I called both Circa and Citizen singles coming out. So maybe I'm having premonitions.

 

tbh if prawn opened for brand new I'd be the happiest person

for prawn that is

 

Prawn and Gates would be cool with either Ciz or BN

 

I feel like Gates has to be close to calling it quits.
I really liked their last record but it didn't seem to make much of a splash.
