One great rock front man gone. I feel so sorry for his wife, kids and the band.

Some of the lyrics from their most recent album in retrospect are just....unbelievable.

I wouldn't be listening to any of the bands I listen to today if it weren't for Linkin Park. I am completely and utterly devastated.

Really, really sad news. Hybrid Theory and Meteora were staples of mine back then. RIP.

I create content for some of your favorite artists

Seeing LP when I was 15 was my first proper rock show. Absolutely floored by this. One of the best voices in the scene

I spent so many hours watching Fuse hoping that the music videos for In the End or (if I was really lucky) Crawling would come on.

Hybrid Theory was one of the first albums I remember listening to and just loving every track - start to finish. No filler whatsoever

That was such a rarity back then too. So many bands had a lot of filler on their records

It's the exact same thing for me. It was my first show at 15. There must have been like 70 000 people and it was pouring rain. I will remember this all my life.

    what a waste of wood

The 2nd time I ever hung out with my now girlfriend we got drunk and listened to Hybrid Theory twice all the way through.. Not a second of filler

I haven't been able to get any work done today after hearing about this. I keep trying to watch some live videos but I keep tearing up.

This is so fucked. He never struck me as someone struggling. He was a family man too, six kids. This is just awful.

  19. I hope this doesn't come across as insensitive or something, but I remember reading this awhile ago. Maybe he relapsed and fell back into drugs and/or alcohol?

Their new record was not great in my opinion(Some highlights though especially "One More Light"), but the fact that people were booing when they played new songs is so ridiculous. I've seen bands countless times and sat through songs I didn't enjoy. I feel like social media has become such a dangerous weapon that people use as well. People sit there and say absolutely sickening things to people(more recent example Ed Sheeran had to delete his Twitter account because he appeared on a fucking show) I am sick beyond comprehension of keyboard warriors, and people who just can't understand that celebrities are still human fucking beings at the end of the day.

I don't think it's insensitive. Especially being that his very good friend just took his life.

Yeah it's entirely possibly that his friend's suicide led him back to drugs and alcohol and this being his birthday just sent him over the edge.
