I don't recall hearing anything about his death at all and that's a shame.

 

I think it was overshadowed by the whole freeing up relations with Cuba. I was googling the day.

 

Also, the day after, the 15th, that was the day Aaron Hernandez was convicted of murder, and some dumbass (from Florida, figures) flew a gyrocopter onto the White House lawn.
