Think it makes sense to think it COULD be art for the single.

The title of the song is "Bored to Death," and they have not released a single in many years.

Either way, I will certainly be interested to hear.

 

Blink has definitely never had any shortage of art produced for the band, look at all the tour posters (much of it not my taste but whatever) so they certainly could have had artwork made just for the single as well. I'm guessing it's single artwork but I wouldn't mind that at all for the album cover either.

 

I watched that music video again recently. It was even worse than I remembered.

That clip is worse than I remembered. The part with all the women with headphones nodding their heads in slow motion is so awkward too, lol.

And we should wait to see the full album/single artwork before we start judging it. But I wasn't that impressed with the piece we got so far though. Looks like one of the illustrations they always do for posters and t-shirts. I was wishing for something like Deftones' Gore or even Alkaline Trio's My Shame Is True. I guess I just like photography with serif fonts for album covers.

 

Really like that art. Could see it being the single artwork. Being bored to death pairs nicely with a skeleton looking guy sitting in traffic haha

 

maybe that's the album name also? who knows

I think if that's the art the only way I would really like is if it was a physical piece of art instead of digital, like it seems. Here is some other stuff by that guy. Would be really cool if the artwork was a photo of it on the side of a building like this one...

I remember when that video first premiered feeling so conflicted. I was like "I thought that guy was so cool like a year ago.....is it bad that I don't like this?". It's nuts how many weird things he got away with just because of everyone's love for blink. Haha.

 

I loved the first AVA record when it came out, but have not been into anything since. Haven't returned to the debut in 6 or 7 years either.

 

The hype is real!

 

I'll be happy if I like the new blink song as much as "The Adventure".

It's one of the few AVA songs that are really catchy

 

Me neither, I don't think it's amazing or anything but I do think it's one of the better songs on that album. "Everything's Magic" is probably the only AvA song I love.

 

I'm also not a fan of AVA.

 

Never could get into AvA. I think "The Adventure" is a pretty good song though.

 

The Adventure is alright, but i usually skip the end of the song. Just give me that intro over and over again and i'm fine.

 

if anything, this thread is just a constant reminder that art is subjective haha

 

I love The Adventure. I might like it more than any +44 song

 

Epic Holiday and Surrender are really the only ones that resonate with me.

 

I do too but that's not saying much.

 

I feel like it could have been a great blink song if it had been filtered through that band and maybe Mark could've written an actual chorus

 

I really hope that this album has an Anthem Part 2 opening. We need some isolated guitar and vocal work.
