My theatre has been voted Best Movie Theatre in my city for the past 9 years.








I live on an island and we're the only movie theatre in town. Why are we even part of the conversation lol. I want to see us lose so bad

So we did trivia last night like I said and it was super fun...............but we came in 12th out of 14 hahah.

And then we were walking out to the parking lot to her car. We're standing close to each other and I think she was waiting for me to at least hug her goodbye (I don't think we've physically even touched yet lol). I panicked and I was just like "UHHHOKAYHAVEAGOODNIGHTBYE" and turned and walked away.

I've realized I've got no moves for regular dates. Like, with tinder or OKC I can go from first meeting someone to making out/sex within minutes but on regular dates I have NO IDEA how to read the situation or when or when not to do something like hold hands, hug, go in for a first kiss, etc. I'm a friggin dork

The good news is she wants to do trivia again next week with the woman who ~introduced us and her husband. She also mentioned she just got a cassette player and creeped my instagram with all my hipster douche (my words, not hers) vinyl pictures and asked if we could go cassette shopping at some the the thrift/record stores in town sometime. :D

I was talking to a couple really cute ladies, in which I eventually got they're numbers, one of them only lives like 5 minutes from me, I invited her to meet me at the Wolf Alice show Saturday, which she seemed really excited about, but of course she flaked that night! The other and me have a lot in common as well, but damn is it the new thing to take all day to text back? Or is it because I'm from the Nokia generation?

 

I've once ended a date with a high five that I initiated, so just saying "okay thanks bye" isn't the worse thing in the world.

After that I ended pretty much all dates with a quick hug or if I was really into it, a quick peck on the cheek + hug combo.

its always weird bonding with your significant other over peoples reaction to the fact yall are fighting lol. (this in and of itself is a "what in the hell?!" story)

as I said we were just at odds and a friend texted me casually asking how I was and I said "fine, just going through it with my lady again." to which leads to him saying how we just gotta fuck our issues out (typical guy advice, from the single one of course), to which I said "she gotta see how she acts out sometimes is really a mood kill for me wanting to." so I guess he took this as me welcoming him into our bedroom which I mean... I didn't but okay. His next reply is whats trippy:

"Yall should try a hall pass/spouse swap situation, me and my ex did it once and it worked wonders. We really learned to appreciate our time together again" (ex huh? seemed it did do wonders for ya). To which I was taken aback but I didn't take it how it went from there till it was SUPER OBVIOUS. So I replied with that is not good for either of our personality types, she had cheated in the past so welcoming someone into our bedroom directly or indirectly is not an option, and etc.
He doubled down, and at the end said his recent lazy reliable Tinder booty call who he isn't even really attracted to; it's just easy that; with all respects to the girl, isn't some one I'm checking for, said I was cute.

So I immediately was like whoa... are you trying to suggest I let you fuck my fiancée and you hook me up with your young grandma looking booty call? don't get fucked up out here. and he immediately rescinded but the way he apologized even was telling on himself. "I'd never tell you I wanna fuck your fiancée when you're fighting like yeah she's hot as fuck but if I wanted to I'd just tell you, you know me man." (which in and of itself is a wtf thing)

He's an alright guy usually but this was a "Wait.... wtf was that shit?" and it's really awkward having anyone approach you like that, nonetheless a friend.

Though me and girl did bond over laughing at him tattling on himself and the fact she warned him I'm crazy enough that if he ever pulls some shit like that again all 3 of us know I might end up in some trouble, always respect the woman in the position of my girl in my life type shit..
