I've been learning my player geography with KDB. Had no idea these two were both from South Yorkshire.

Can we protest the thread name change?

 

Why can't it just be "Soccer/ Football Thread"? A place to discuss all football, not just men's? I know a lot of you guys are big into the USWNT and I really enjoy those discussions in this thread.

 

There's a separate women's Football thread

 

I know, but why not have the one thread for both? I'm wondering which method would better promote women's football. Having it to the larger audience of this thread, or having its own specialised one? I'll be honest, as a new user or a new visitor, I probably wouldn't have thought to look for a women's only thread, because I've not had the prior interest - it's mostly discussions in this thread that have helped.

 

I think it works better having a separate thread. I do feel talk of Women's football would get buried in amongst talk about the men's game.

Ok gang I made the banner and I am currently on the streets protesting. We can do this.

 

Honestly, women's football isn't big over here and having the discussion in here was one of the ways I was able to easily keep tabs on what was happening outside of big tournaments. But if they would like it to be separate then fair enough.

 

I was wondering if y'all would complain. I'll fix it in a bit.

 

I also think having threads for each sex is a bit much but whatever

 

Seems there are a lot of substantial rumors that PSG are meeting Neymar's release clause of 222m today. Wowza.

Yeah. A couple people didn't want to have to deal with the men's game because they only care to watch the women's and wanted a separate thread.

I thought this was going to turn out to be a joke, but apparently signing Dani Alves was a part of this and Neymar Sr. has been doing the orchestration because he's mad at the Barca board. Should be interesting to see what happens.

Better be two huge signings if he's gone. (Still doubtful.)

 

On a side note, what the hell are Chelsea doing? Costa is leaving and all they have is Batshuayi. City have Aguero, United have Lukaku (and probably Ibra), Arsenal have Lacazette (and probably Sanchez), and Spurs have Kane. Unless Chelsea plan to play Batshuayi as their main goal threat they are damn short on strikers.
