the high school looking like a country club always struck me as odd on the O.C.

 

I like watching and cringing at the styling of that era. Sometimes Marissa's hair literally looks like she rolled around in a field or something it is terrible. Like they attempt bedhead beach waves and fail. And all the low rise jeans. So many belly buttons.

 

In retrospect, that's probably as good a reason as any for liking it.

 

I feel that way watching Full House, I don't think DJ ever wore a single flattering outfit on that show

 

Two hour ride to Philly. Ugh. I live right near NYC. Why do I do this to myself?

 

I mean, I don't actually know whether or not the parents are employed. They just have an ambiguous amount of money on which to live. Blonde-haired, bag packer likes to punch people a lot and I suspect that his insistence on wearing a tank top all the time is a way to show he is working-class. I don't know. It just seems like a genocide took place and the people that run Express for Men and Ambercrombie and Fitch are now the rulers of the west coast.

 

lol that just reminds me of that ep where she wore the same outfit as her teacher. Stephany had and still does have the superior styling imo!!

 

The sole inoffensive thing on the show is the father's eyebrows. I, too, have distinct brows, so I am fond of them.

 

The mom works for her dad who is a real estate developer. All their $ comes from her family. The dad is a public defender.

His tank top and choker necklace shows he is not to be messed with!!

 

I never understood the OC. I tried watching the first episode and it didn't grab me.

 

Huh. I guess that's why he was in a cell or something with blonde guy. Makes sense.

 

Adam Brody is one of the more kind comparisons I get so my feelings toward The OC remain positive despite only having seen a couple episodes while it was airing.

 

The dad saved the blonde one with anger mgmt issues from the scary pits of Chino, California lol

I love that show it is so ridic everyone should join my thread for it if they already don't!!

 

I just checked. The median income of Chino, California is seventy thousand dollars. Why is blonde man so angry?

 

his mom is an addict who abandoned him for her bf. His brother got arrested for stealing a car. In the show Chino is the slums so he is a low class man who grew up in poverty and is not as refined as the wealthy ppl he is now surrounded by!

 

Haha. Okay. Sorry for all of the questions. This show is just so bizarre.

 

It's fine! It's one of my favorite shows. it's so ridiculous. It's like the closest it can be to a novela without being a novela.

 

The day is so nice out but it's also trying to piss me off.

Anyways, got the work out done, bought groceries. Guess I'll just chill and smoke then grill things in the backyard for the rest of the day while watching basketball.

 

There's a Turkish remake of The O.C. called Medcezir. I watched the first 5 episodes actually and loved it even though it was so overdramatic, it was addictive.

I love cars, but don't ask me how any of it works besides, big engine = faster car.

 

It's either that or a scooter.

 

I almost killed my sister on a scooter once. That was the last time either of us got on one lol

And Jet Ski's. I hurt her so bad at the lake once she refuses to get on one with me again.
