Maybe Pianos but yeah good point. I thought at least one of those would.

    Maybe Pinegrove?

Title Fight seems like the most logical choice. Pianos is on Epitaph so i dont see that happening. Pinegrove has never worked with Will at all so i doubt it, but he did seem to indicate it wouldnt only be bands that he works with, so who knows.

The Starting Line might go there if they plan to keep making new music.

Would love to see Petal get a bigger platform.

i'd love petal to sign to like polyvinyl or something, feel like that crowd would appreciate them more than rfc

Yeah I know. Someone said that TF would be the most logical choice to sign to black cement. I thought they've only released one album through anti, so I assumed they'd at least have another release through them.

Ah, I thought I saw a quote of his mentioning them as a signing. I know he definitely mentioned the other three so those would be my guesses.

well you assume with all of these bands that are working with him, at least one or two more would come out on BC.

a burst and I'm awake now Supporter

La Dispute seems the most likely of those he's worked with. I'm pretty surprised Citizen didn't make the jump tbh, since they could prob benefit from a major's backing to jump to the next level (ie radio play). That said, I'm glad to see these kinds of bands sticking with indie labels.

Isn't Black Cement like his Memory Music label?

Edit: like an imprint that won't be super active and sign a bunch of bands

nope, different, it's a legit subsidiary of a major label

Pre order ed the deluxe bundle! Now to find a tape player. The new song is a great lead single but I really am excited to dive into some of the weirder stuff that I like from them.

As for Black Cement, I could see La Dispute putting out what will probably be their last album on there.

    Atlantic: https://www.facebook.com/pg/blackcementrecords/about/

"[T]hat’s where Black Cement Records and celebrated producer Will Yip come into the picture. Yip, who has helped foster this community by recording everyone from Balance & Composure to The Menzingers will serve as the curator of Black Cement Records, heading up all A&R efforts for the new Atlantic Records imprint. Yip explains, 'I think this world of bands deserves a home of their own that has the resources of a major label in order to expose them to new audiences around the world.'"

I feel like so many of their songs have components I love, but don't necessarily "click" together if that makes sense. the harmonizing and the music is good but something is missing. Felt like that for half of the last record too
