I'd say this is currently one of my favorite threads to consistently check up on. There might not be anything going on, but there's still a lot of fun discussion about Blink's discography and overall history, some funny videos, and overall sense of genuine excitement for a band that I'd argue a lot of this site has given up hope on!

Honestly, new Blink wasn't something I was really even sort of excited for until I started reading this thread and seeing how pumped you all were haha. Now I'm desperately anticipating it as well!

 

I just keep getting my hopes up when I see a notification and it just ends up being a song ranking!

 

double post, but I may have just gotten confirmation on kroq world premiering blink on the kevin and bean show on either monday or just sometime next week, stand by!

 

Great news. What is the source?

 

I work for the company that owns kroq and they were playing kroq in the lobby and they had an ad for kevin and bean. I wasn't 100% on if they were promoting their show for monday or just for next week in general, but I am getting an aircheck pulled and will have confirmation in about 10 minutes!

 

Fingers crossed.

 

Monday and "sometime next week" are very different things! Haha

yeah sometimes they do commercials like "monday on the kevin and bean show we will have..." and other times its more like "next week on the kevin and bean show...".

 

Have you gotten confirmation yet? You said ten minutes and I can't hold my breath much longer! Haha

 

so I just got the recording! sadly it said "next week" so I'm assuming probably thursday.

BUT

the kroq weenie roast concert is announced on monday so it COULD be then.

sorry I jumped the gun. It for sure said world premiere though so at least theres that.

 

This is going to be the longest week ever, guys...

Also, I'm starting a new job next week so I won't be able to be on here half as much as I (basically always) have. So when this song finally comes out, I'll most likely be at work and won't be able to listen to until my lunch break. Ugh!!!!

 

Hahaha. Yeah. We may be shooting for a more positive community than found on AP, but I guess we still love our lists!

Speaking of rankings, Blink is one of the few bands where (prior to 2011, anyway) I'd rank their albums in exact descending order. unfortunately, Neighborhoods and DED put an end to that haha.

I'd say considering their history, that's pretty good news lol (no, nothing has really happened)

 

So I only found most of the show. I'll have to go thru an old HDD to see if an old iTunes library has the whole show.

 

I'm a few pages late but I have to say those 2004 shows will always sound sick to me. They were at their prime. Of course it was fast as hell but it made things so much fun for me to watch. I have no clue how Travis got the stamina to perform like that, and Tom barely missed notes on his guitar, which is definitely odd compared to how much he fucked songs up after the reunion.

And once again, Mark nailed that angry banter during Reckless Abandon: "that was great, you should sing all Tom's songs" hahaha
