  1. You said victims of abuse are believed. They aren't. That's on you to fix.

In my experience they have been. I would not like to speak outside of my experience with the legal system.

Okay, this wasn’t the forum for arguing about this and I apologize for starting a rage war in here. I’ll stop.

  5. Then don't. Your shitty anecdote being declared as "99%" is on you for your shitty post that said it and plays into this red pill bullshit.

I believe what he meant to say was 99% of the times victims aren't believed which is why most of the time they are too horrified to come forward because they know they will be either brushed off or accused of having ulterior motives

Calm down guys it was a simple mistype

Yeah that was my own hyperbole. I’ll own up to that because I did a shitty job of explaining it. I said 99% even though it is not that high because of the lower threshold of probable cause to arrest someone People walk free because of the “beyond a reasonable doubt” threshold that is (and should be) very high if it proceeds to trial. If there is an allegation made of domestic battery there will almost certainly be an arrest. Oftentimes people don’t want to fight it because they fear that a jury will convict them. Innocent or not. That’s what I was talking about.

Okay now i’m done. Didn’t mean to offend anyone here.

I wasn’t talking about rape at all. There is a terrible stigma around people coming forward and being in the public eye when they accuse of another of rape. It comes to the point where some don’t want to come forward. I hate it and I wish more victims would come forward. But I was talking about something else entirely.

If you guys we’re hung up on the “alleged victims” that’s because I’ve had ingrained the whole notion of innocent until proven guilty. Not saying they’re false reports.

  12. Nope. Often the woman will be harassed by the cops and not believed by them, the judge, the jury, her own lawyers, and her own friends and family. And often they die because of it.

    Hi, I'm Negan ;)

Why does this have to be posted in this thread. Make a separate one if you want to discuss. The abuse has nothing to do with THIS BAND. It's a big deal yes.

My wife's ex is absolutely insane, and it took her months and months, and multiple court appearances for her to get a restraining order. She needed to give an immense amount of proof, and even still some of that was questioned.
