    Nope. Supporter

It would be kinda fun to see the NBA have a hard cap like the NFL, but the players would never go for it

Yes, read further on the hard cap/apron, it should start to click a bit for you

It should be the other way around, let more NFL players get paid.

This one. I like this one. I like Salary Caps because it creates strategy in roster construction unlike Baseball, but it's kinda Silly that there is a max amount Lebron James and Steph Curry can make when they are the faces of a 9 billion dollar organization.

Idk about no cap but you should always be able to keep your players and go over the cap if you need to, I give no damns about billionaires paying more. I'm not opposed to no cap though, it's pretty obvious that as long as a player wants to go somewhere... he'll find a way. Giannis is probably the only guy who may take the double max money.

  7. If you're going to have a salary cap, it should be a hard cap and not a cap per player. If you remove the cap, you'll basically get the EPL. (Four-ish good teams.) How the NBA is laid out, geographically, this is much more difficult.

I mean I definitely agree, but a hard cap would likely eliminate these super teams

I'm excited he's finally on his way over, but definitely nervous the Clippers will make him less fun to watch.

Unlikely to happen for a few years. His contract with Real Madrid isn't up for another 3 years I think and the buyout would just be way too much. It's a shame, because he would fit so well in the Rockets current system too.

I mean, Doc sucks and the Clippers are frustrating but I don't know why anyone would assume that they'd "ruin" a player. They developed DJ into an All-Star, a terrible Austin Rivers into a pretty good player, JJ Redick into a really valuable starter, Blake into a top-12 player in the league when healthy, and Chris came in and played the best basketball of his career for however many years. They haven't ruined players so much as ruined themselves by trading for/signing bad and old players to bad contracts and trading all their picks away.

I'm also not too worried about them ruining the fun of a guy who throws better lobs than the player who brought "Lob City" to LA in the first place. They'll be a fun team... when healthy.

I think "ruin" in this case meant to make unlikable.

Word, guess I read your post wrong. But was more responding to the post before yours which seemed to imply Doc has a history of ruining good players, when really he just has a history of heavily relying on bad ones.

No worries, my post was a riff off that one too. I was basing it off of how quickly the Clippers seemed to go from the fun to watch, lobs everywhere to "good lord, those guys whine all the time". I'm not convinced Doc is a good x's and o's guy or a good GM, but I agree with you he does seem to do well with player development.

Idk how you can judge doc rivers player development, who did he "develop" exactly? I was simply saying he hates playing guys who aren't good at defense and tedosic is not good on defense at all from what I've heard. I doubt he wants him throwing those kinds of crazy passes and creating the possibility of turnovers. Sure, he won't "ruin him" but the style he'll play won't nearly be as fun as what we've seen and it'll be unfortunate. That being said I don't expect it to be the same here either but having a coach like that isn't exactly helping either, I'm sure he'll throw up lobs a ton but most player can throw up lobs and what makes him special is his ability to locate players with his passing.

But who knows, maybe he'll be a complete bust and suck here so.. expectations are pretty lukewarm

Like trading LA? I doubt it, probably just wanted a good backup but you never know. Curious about the money though.

Edit: that's a lot less than you'd think he was looking for, I guess he'll be a really good 6th man
