i ask because i already got a new battery and now my phone doesn't function unless it's on low battery mode, if it's normal if it tries to do anything it resets

 

Oh shit. I already replaced my battery via that program i think when it was randomly shutting off last year. Wonder if it's still related to that. Would be a bummer.

No clue. Just googled what @Drew Beringer said because I wasn't sure what he was talking about and figured Craig wasn't either.

 

If you already had it replaced then it most likely isn't that - truly restoring and setting up as new could fix it but it could also be hardware/ CPU issues too

 

Slackbot is my arch enemy, so getting access back in may be an uphill climb.

 

Update: It appears the only thing wrong with my device is the display since it is responsive in itunes and I restored to factory defaults to no response on the screen. So no dice. Gonna be making a trip to Verizon I guess to see what my insurance will get me in terms of a display replacement. Just gotta get to september.

How far are you from an Apple Store? Verizon insurance can have an expensive deductible while also providing a third party unauthentic apple part that will only make things worse

It's not caused by physical harm to the device by outside sources, so I should be eligible for a like new replacement under Total Mobile Protection, but I bet they will force me to file a claim with Asurion by saying some bullshit about how it shows signs of user caused damage

And it'll take maybe 1-5 days for the new device to show up too - they rarely replace phones on the spot

 

yeah that doesn't surprise me at all :( My plan is to hit up the verizon store on the way home from work and see what they can do and then if that doesn't work hit up the apple store at the mall and try to get the display replaced preferably sometime in the next two days.

 

Pupdate: Verizon is shipping a replacement device to me overnight, should arrive by 8 pm at the latest tomorrow apparently

 

UGHHHHHHH my iPhone 6 got smashed in the treadmill last night. Phone still seems to work perfectly fine, but the screen is cracked and there's a small crack under the glass (the white area) near the home button. I was really hoping to make it to September for the new phones. What should I do from here? What would Apple give me for turning in a phone with this much damage? I'm assuming they wont replace the glass with it being slightly crushed under the glass.

Currently considering just taking what they give me and starting the apple upgrade program now with a 7. But I'd also be willing to use a shittier phone for a couple months to get to the 8. I'm conflicted.
