Plan to meet with that guy I've been chatting with. He lives in the surrounding area, but he doesn't live exactly "close". Maybe like 30-40 minutes away. Anyway he chose a meeting spot in his city instead of something in the middle or even asking "where would you like to go for coffee". I'm going to try to negotiate because there is no way in hell I want to drive to where he lives. Theres a place that I really like and only go to when I'm passing thru the area that's in the middle-ish but more closer to me so idk, I don't want to make him drive out there. Plus he chose starbucks and I'm not really into starbucks anymore

Face filters man... fucking face filters. Please do not make every single photo on your profile a face filter photo. they literally change the shape of your face and you will 100% look different in real life so why would I swipe right when I don't know what you look like? I understand that this bothers me more than it should but like, c'mon, it's common sense.

 

I fucking hate every filter I have ever seen. I will never message, swipe right or any other option a woman who posts a pic on a dating site with a filter. Dog tongue, flower tiara, bunny ears, Urkle glasses... idgaf. It's not cute or fun or original.

ya definitely say something. Also for anyone reading, never take your first date to starbucks. Plenty of nicer local coffee shops that will have way less traffic and way more atmosphere.

 

I did. I mentioned that I'm not into Starbucks and if we can do something local and named a city that was more in the middle of us. My worry is that what if he only named the Starbucks spot bc he doesn't have a car/drive and its walking/biking distance?? I guess I'll find out the answer later tonight when I log in my computer because I don't like using the app.

 

Guys do the same thing believe it or not! I've also seen dudes cover their face up as much as possible i.e. Sunglasses in doors, surgical mask, hand over their mouth, etc then these same dudes complain about girls' photos. Smh

Well at least with beards that’s still actually what they look irl. And ya lots of people cover their face up on dating apps which I don’t get either. Like if you show up to a date and you look completely different that’s like a mild form of catfishing haha. Idk if guys do it but some girls are damn clever with those camera angles too.

 

Idk idk. I was seeing a guy with a beard once and then one day he just waltzed in with it shaved off and I was SHOCKED. He was a totally different person. I mean hair in general can do that lol but omg I'll never be over that transformation

I kinda get it tho. Ppl are insecure and want what they think is the best version of themselves out there. All my pics are taken at like a sky high view to give the illusion of a chin lol

 

That's me, I have a beard that I haven't shaved off in a couple years cause last time I did I felt like I looked like this.

 

I've said it a million times.

I'm like mid 20s when I have a beard but I look like I'm fresh out of high school when I don't have a beard.

 

The whole dating scene has me so down. I'm so bad at trying to meet people.

The camera angles are the worst and a huge red flag for so many reasons. If all you have - or the majority of your pics - are from top down with you or someone else taking the pic then get off dating sites in general because you're trying to be and show something you're not

 

My friend broke up with his gf today and when we asked why he said:

"Today is the day America became independent" - not actually but everyone believes today is the day so I kept quiet, but just some history knowledge for those who may not know - "so I decided I should follow in those footsteps and become independent myself!"
