Will it have pineapple on it?

 

Man, I'm already so hungry again.

 

Had fajitas tonight and decided to melt some edam cheese on them for the hell of it. Turned out pretty tasty in my opinion.

 

i could totally go for some fajitas

 

Weirdly I've never had a fajita. They always smell so good but as a kid I was too picky and didn't want to try it and now I don't eat meat so I never really have the opportunity

 

I got a box of Trix to snack on and all the colors are different? I know I'm too old to still see the fruit shapes but it looks like someone put a sepia filter over the entire bag of cereal

 

I'm getting Five Guys tonight for dinner. I blame y'all!

 

My restaurant company has the best Fajitas! You know what makes them the best? The garlic butter sauce! Incredible, incredible, incredible! So good that my wife tries to emulate it at home.

@Meerkat haven't had Trix in awhile but the last time I did they were all the same shape, just different colors and it made me sad. Growing up they were actually shaped like fruits and berries. Are they still like this?

 

I don't know why but I actually laughed at the idea of never having had a fajitas

They are delicious though

 

I don't like how everyone stares at you when they bring them to your table.

 

Don't know if i've ever experienced that. Then again practically everybody in Texas orders fajitas so i guess it's not that big of a deal.

 

For anyone interested in joining this starting today on Earth Day.

 

How about I convince other people to not eat meat and I keep eating meat.

 

I'm curious, I'd like to see some facts that went into that as opposed to a graphic just claiming things. That's the thing with statistics you can skew them anyway you want to depending on your sample size and whatnot.

 

The movie that this account promotes is on Netflix now.

 

You real.

 

Everyone should watch this movie and stop eating meat.

 

Graphic aside, I don't think it's really that hard to see that the way we raise/eat animals in this country is unsustainable.

edit: that being said, I'm not gonna stop eating meat, but you should at least be aware and make educated decisions as to the source of the meat.

 

Haha I wasn't trying to be preachy. I've eaten meat for most of my life only stopped a year ago. Just thought if people were interested in joining the challenge they could.

 

What I learned from watching Food Inc is that unless your have a lot of time and money you are doomed to eat unethical and unhealthy food

 

I am just a couple weeks in to going whole food/plant-based and organic when possible. Did it mostly out of curiosity to see how it pairs with my running and working out routines. So far it's been awesome. I can't believe how much better I feel after a meal and how much more energy I have. Not that I was eating terrible before, but there is a real difference if you avoid the junk vegan foods. I say all of this as someone who doesn't really care for a lot of the vegan community. I try to avoid that term as much as possible haha. I am not about their foodie/pintereset/elitist bravado.

I will suggest that anyone interested in this type of eating habit, to read up on Rich Roll and John Joseph from the Cro-Mags. They are two examples that I think are easier for most people to relate to in terms of their approach and how they present things.

 

Sorry if you felt like i was attacking you or anything, it just bothers me when people/companies/organizations put so much weight in Statistics and what not and oftentimes they aren't entirely true(not that there is anything necessarily wrong with them, just they can be highly skewed one way or another depending on how they are shown). Good on you though seriously for doing what you feel is best for yourself, better late than never right? haha

Yeah vegan culture from the people that try to guilt you for eating meat is trash. Comedian Pete Holmes describes it best for me. He calls himself a "Me-gan" (which is corny but whatever) because he eats that way for his own reasons and if he fucks up and gets drunk one night and has a burger it's not the end of the world. If you want to do it, do it for your own reasons and don't belittle people who don't.

But yeah I agree with the health side of things. I have more energy than I ever have and I sleep a lot better now.

 

Yeah no worries man. That's why I suggested the movie because it's very in depth as opposed to their one instagram graphic. That's why I don't fuck with organizations like PETA because they focus more on scare tactics and shaming people for how they eat instead of giving great info and allowing people to make their own choice.

 

Hunting is a way of life down here. I eat mainly venison and on rare occasions I'll eat beef or something like in my spaghetti yesterday. I don't feel bad about killing deer bc they're over populated down here and we don't torture them like on dairy farms, etc. I know people don't agree with me but it's the way I was raised.
