IFC was having an Alien marathon the other day and I got so heated when I saw 3 was on next that I couldn't watch it lol. I can't imagine how a studio could see that final product and be like yep this works.

Is the AVP requiem sequel worth watching even in a "I know this is bad but at least it's amusing bad" way? I recorded it in the marathon cause I haven't seen it. There's no way it's good but I didn't know if it was at least sucky in that way it's entertaining to make fun of

The whole story behind that movie is one of the greatest stories of bad executive meddling in Hollywood. The concept I mentioned was the original vision, it supposed to take place on that planet that had a 14th century style society inside of it. The people rejected technology so they ironically shot themselves into space inside of the planet and lived this life until Ripley's ship crashes into it and then Alien shit goes down. The studio rejected this and so they fired the director before filming began, did hasty rewrites, and dumped the thing on a young David Fincher. The whole production was a nightmare and to this day, David Fincher refuses to have anything to do with it.

I've been rewatching the first four Friday the 13th films. The later films (except VI) are absolutely horrid, but the first four films are not so bad. Nice, campy fun movies to watch with friends.

Perfect ending aside, I think I prefer the second Friday to the first.

I actually enjoyed the Friday The 13th remake. That being said, it's been like ten years since I've watched it - so I am curious to see how it will hold up.

  9. From my recent experience - it doesn't. Haha.

It's definitely a film that most people won't like or understand, it's very much a Lynch or Jodorowsky style affair.

This looks fun, but this new incarnation of Chucky just doesn't look right. I have a really hard time getting over that.

the third Child's Play movie fucked me up as a kid. they all did, but that one just stands out for whatever reason.

I feel like the second one might have actually been the scariest of them tho? idk

The second one haunted me the most. Looking back it was actually traumatic..like I had a legitimate phobia of the good guy doll. Anytime I saw a red haired doll or a pair of overalls I pictured chucky. It wasn't until Bride came out that I started to get over it, and it was only because I was at a sleepover and didn't want to look like a wimp in front of my older cousin by leaving the room.

Also, the teaser for Child's Play 2 is fantastic.

I don't think I've actually seen any of them. I saw parts on like HBO when I was way too young for it and it seemed so perverse

I know YouTube has a lot of the old "Inside Story" documentaries. They're a fun watch as well.
