man i really do love these airpods

 

For anyone who has the iOS 11 beta: is it allowing you to interact with notifications on the lock screen? No matter what the notification is (Facebook, text, Twitter, Instagram, a reminder, etc.) if I tap it I can't do anything with it whereas before it would open that app and/or give me options like view, respond, etc. Since the update if I tap a notification it reacts (i.e, it presses like a button/grows in size when I touch it, if that makes sense) but it doesn't open the corresponding app or give me any options. Same thing if I tap it from the drop down menu when the phone is unlocked. Is there some new feature that I don't have turned on or is this just a bug?

 

Definitely finding that annoying in the beta.

 

Got the keyboard for the 10.5 Pro. There seems to be a small bit more space between the keys which makes it a bit easier to use. I’ve no idea if there actually is more space or if it’s just a placebo. It’s not too bad tbh.

Only thing is, I’m not able to send a post on this site directly from the keyboard.

 

Report the stuff you don't like/think is a bug... that's what beta is for.

 

Really liking them as well! Going completely wire-free is well worth any of the strange looks people might give you.

 

I deleted 700mb of pictures and somehow 500 of that was taken up by something else overnight.

 

I'm about to get a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to hook my MacBook Pro to and I was wondering what everyone thinks of the Magic Keyboard? I was thinking of getting it because I feel like it would be the closest thing that I would get to the keyboard on my MacBook. Thoughts?

 

I have a similar setup and use the magic keyboard and trackpad. I would highly recommend both for the convenience of a rechargeable battery. I'd also look into getting a Rain Design mStand (or something similar) if you plan on using the laptop as a second screen.

Just stopped at Walmart and they had three AirPods in stock. So of course I bought a pair

 

I tried using a pair. I will say that the quality of Apple's headphones has increased tenfold since the old days, but unfortunately the Airpods don't sit well in my ear. Not necessarily their fault, just my tragus and antihelix sit too far apart to hold them in a position where they don't shift around or fall out. I also had a friend say that they bent over to pick up something, one fell out and broke. So sometimes those annoying cords were probably helpful in not letting your earbuds drop straight to the floor.

 

I have noticed that both my iPhone 4s and 5s drains its battery fast. I was wondering if there's a need for me to change these mobile phones and invest into new one since I have it for more than 6 years and 3 years now.

 

my phone display just turned off and there were a few tiny blue dots on the screen but the podcast i was listening to was still playing. i tried to hold to reset but then the podcast stopped and the display hasn't turned back on.

Looks like my display is borked? I've never had any issues with my display before.

 

Just try a factory data reset.

 

Can't exactly do that at work, and don't know if it will even help anyway. I pay for the insurance, i might as well use it before restoring to factory settings, but thanks.
