Reminder that Okada is only 29 and we are not worthy to witness this man in his prime

 

Okada is 29 and IWGP champion. I am 31 and ate a whole pizza by myself tonight

 

I cannot imagine having to give a promo in front of a packed house in a language I don't speak.

 

I'm only 28, I still have a year to become the best wrestler in the world.

I forgot who was even in the first two matches, so Ishii and Omega are the only two that make sense. Hilarious that Lethal is the only American still in it, though there weren't many to start.

Does anyone remember that band "life as a ghost"? They were a decent scene band that toured a bit but never got like big. Apparently their singer used to work for wwe, know someone who knows him but didn't know till I saw this on his profile lol

is it really easy to work for them in general? Seems like a lot of people casually have, I'm guessing the pay isn't great at the bottom.

I was in the building yesterday and the atmosphere was unlike anything I've ever experienced at a wrestling event before. There were some annoying dudes in the crowd for sure ( USA, WWE related chants, dudes trying to emulate japanese woman screaming for Kenny/Okada/etc) but people were for the most part pretty awesome. People there HATED Billy Gunn. The match today should be a shitshow.

 

I know there's this dude that works in catering for them that's also like a pro skater. There was an interview with him on thrasher.com about a year ago talking about how he just tours the country with them, sets up the food area backstage then just goes and finds spots to skate.

 

Finished watching last night's show. Great main event, easily Cody's best. If there was a time to give him any credit, it would be now.

 

Ehhh I still give Okada most of the credit

 

Match was good, and I attribute it more to Okada. Some of Cody's character work at the end was excellent though

 

Gonna skip NJPW tonight and just watch Slammiversary.
