@ManchesterOrch8 is right. It's a fully manual table.

I bought the LP120 because it's a direct-drive turntable. I had been burned by cheap belt drives in the past and it's kinda spoiled them for me.
One thing I wish I did was research the LP120 a bit more. The on-board preamp in that thing really muddies the sound. Even if you're bypassing it the L/R RCA cords that come out the back of it are running through that preamp.
So, for me, taking the preamp out is a must on this table... Just an FYI

I'm in the middle of a transition/upgrade right now, but this is what I've been using for the last little bit.

Marantz Model 1060 Amp
Marantz Model 104 Tuner
Marantz Imperial 7 Loudspeakers
Marantz Imperial 5g Bookshelf Speakers

I also have a Yamaha CR620 receiver, another set of Marantz Imperial 7 loudspeakers, and a set of Advent "bull nose" loudspeakers that I'm not using.

I don't currently have a working turntable. I've gone through about 3 "vintage" ones in the last year. A Pioneer Pl1000, a Fisher, and a Dual 1219. All failed in different ways.

So between the failing turntables and the fact that we recently moved, I'm in the process of selling everything off and upgrading/downsizing.

 

My set up just had its final piece arrive yesterday. Picking up an entertainment center this afternoon from a local buy/sell/trade Facebook page and I'll be setting everything up tonight when my daughter goes to bed. It's a start up, hand-me-down speaker and receiver set from my parents, but it'll do for now.

How do you guys store your 7"'s?

I bought these boxes from ikea, and they work, but they're a little short and don't hold as many as my old shoe box.

 

Also, I just signed up for VMP just for this release, gonna cancel after.

I store my 7"'s in a bookshelf that my girlfriend owns and I took over when I moved in. I'll snap a pic. Just got lucky that they fit in there... I think it's meant for DVDs

Okay, this record is insanely cool.

 

Went to spin the Across the Universe OST and was surprised when "Girl" wasn't the opening track. I didn't realize it wasn't the entire soundtrack, and I'm kinda bummed since it's missing some faves (If I Fell, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Dear Pridence). Still glad I grabbed though.

Also I grabbed Blue Screen Life (thank god) and Barter 6 from Bull Moose on Monday

Looks pretty sweet. Wish I could get that version for the jacket only.

 

So I followed instructions to set up my Debut Carbon, every tiny thing, and my tone arm drifts off of the record when I try to start it up.

What am I missing?

 

make sure you drop the needle on an actual groove.

 

Yeah I've found that if I drop the needle a little too close to the edge of the record it'll slide off, if i just make sure to move it closer it plays just fine.

 

I had missed a tiny detail on the counterweight installation. All is well.

My speakers are a little crackly, but i think I just need to adjust some settings on the receiver.

 

i went on like at in the morning and it was only slow during check out. i just got my delivery today

I'm afraid to look into how much armor for sleep records are going for.

 

It's like $60-80 from what I've seen. Although, I thought Hot Topic was going to do a run.

 

They did. They are pink.

The only thing they could have done to make that release even more perfect is if they included the bonus track Very Invisible on there.
